   We celebrated our low key wedding with Afternoon Tea at Gidleigh Park. The team went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and to accommodate all of our needs (including short notice dietary requirements due to an error on my part). The location and grounds were beautiful, the tea divine and the staff were very attentive but we didn't feel hassled or rushed. We had a wonderful afternoon and won't hesitate to return.

   Overall definitely an experience. The service was first class. The food was very good apart from the lobster starter which was inedible. The team responded well and it was dealt with. The ambience was like a library - considering it was a Saturday night. I expected to pay above normal levels but the food and wine together were really expensive. One final point - nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but for a non local the hotel is almost impossible to find at night as there is no signage.

   Gidleigh Park delivers an exceptional dining experience. The food is nothing short of exquisite, with each dish thoughtfully crafted and bursting with flavour. The atmosphere is serene and elegant, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. The staff are outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, making the experience even more memorable. A true gem for fine dining and relaxation.

   All perfect. We would perhaps suggest more sandwiches and fewer cakes next time. Apart from that, the service was outstanding, the scenery is spectacular, the afternoon tea is beautiful. So much care is taken to make it just so. Our guests loved it so much, they were from Switzerland and just loved it all.

   A beautiful setting, a warm welcome and excellent service throughout our meal. The food was nice however we didn’t feel it was worth what we paid, which was a little disappointing because we thought it would have been more impressive given it was The Gidleigh Park.

   This was a treat for my partners birthday. The food was outstanding, the grounds are beautiful and the service and staff were faultless. The staff were very kind and welcoming, it was a relaxed atmosphere and not up tight at all. It was a wonderful experience and absolutely well worth it.

    We visited for lunch and it exceeded our expectations. The food was beautifully presented and each course provided a wonderful taste experience. The service at lunch was a winning combination of being both professional and warm.
