Prepare to be thrilled at this all-star Italian restaurant located off Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island, SC. Gios Italian Kitchen is family owned and operated since August 7th, 2014. Brothers/Chefs Klodjan & Renato Hoxha run the kitchen while the sister/GM Eri handles the front. Parents are also involved in the business operation on a daily basis. The Hoxha family was born in Albania and moved to the United States in 2003, seeking the American dream. The family has 17 years of experience in cooking. Our chefs make all the dishes with the freshest ingredients and highest quality of product. Gios serves the best marinara sauce and some of the tastiest authentic Italian dishes in the Grand Strand. We pride ourselves in providing quality consistent good food while emphasizing in excellent guest service. Eat Fresh. Eat Well. Eat Local.

    Dinner was wonderful! The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The Mediterranean pasta and veal parmigiana were amazing. Our server was lovely and managed to get us more bread while we waited on entrees. It was a relaxing meal - no big push to get the table turned, even on a Saturday night.

    We absolutely love Gio's and stop in for dinner when we can. Our last visit, my veal tasted odd and I was quickly offered another selection, which was wonderful.

    Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Gio’s Italian kitchen, my new favorite find! I love the ambiance, which as important to me as the food. Drinks, food, service all fantastic!

    This was our first time dining at Gios. I highly recommend it. The ambience was relaxing and welcoming. Our waitress was attentive and knowlegable about the dishes we asked about. The food was excellent, fresh and hot (not lukewarm)...very delicious. Good bread served when we arrived with delicious olive oil for dipping. Great wine list. Excellent value! We will return.

    Gio's is one of our favorite restaurants on the Strand. It has delicious food and the atmosphere is cozy and elegant. There were three of us and we all enjoyed our meals immensely. The Ceasar was traditional with anchovies. Better appetizers than desserts so front load a bit. Big portions and attentive staff.

    Food was great. Set up and service was slow. Sat us at a table that was in a high traffic area and was bumped multiple times.
