   The only negative was the acoustics. The noise level touches on unbearable. Everything else was excellent, and effectively made the noise level bearable. We will happily promote Good Gilbert to friends and family but warn them to be prepared for the noise. Thankyou

   Food and service was exceptional. Can’t fault the staff and the cuisine. It’s a little more on the expensive side, so best saved for those special occasions rather than a first date. Definitely recommend booking. Didn’t get a chance to try the dessert menu. Highly recommend this little gem and would definitely return.

   The steak was absolutely amazing!! I totally recommend the GG for a quick meal or a longer stay.

   We really love the good Gilbert, but I don’t understand why there isn’t any reasonably price wine, there are plenty of wines that good around $60, I don’t want rob a bank to buy a bottle of wine.

   Excellent feed me option. Really enjoyed that cream of corn dish. Service was at times slow but once underway was paced well with dishes arriving and was always very friendly and knowledgeable on the food and wine. Wine list extraordinary. Very impressive over all. Will definitely return.

   Nice simple menu. Feed me option at $75 was great. Loved the cod. Awesome wine list. Tried a couple before settling on a couple of rippers!

   Pure pleasure-- had the beets w hazelnuts & mushrooms and the Murray cod, just beautiful!! Finished off with the date pudding a la mode. Perfect pre-cinema dinner xoxo Thanks so much.

   For many reasons Saturday night's dining experience had to be special. I tried many of the more well known restaurants but could not get a booking at such short notice. I had never heard of the Good Gilbert but it had a higher star rating than most of the more well known restaurants. We arrived early, but our table was waiting for us. The waiter immediately offered us spring water while he took our drinks order. I had the Good Gilbert hazy pale and my partner had a custom made expresso martini. Both drinks were delicious. When we looked at the menu, it seemed to be very limited. We chose an entree each and the Angus Beef. One medium-rare the other well done. They have a smaller number of menu selections, but there is enough to cover all tastes and what they prepare is a gastronomic delight. The entrees were something we had never tried, they were both scrumptious. We really enjoyed them. The main course came out and the steaks were cooked to perfection. During the entree and the main course the waiter enquired if everything was to our satisfaction. It was, it definitely was. We both agreed that the steak was the best we had ever eaten. The service was exemplary. We had a few more drinks and then ordered dessert. Once again the dessert was scrumptious. We finished off the evening with a tea and a coffee. I can see why the restaurant has such a high rating. The food and service was outstanding. The price was very reasonable. I wanted the evening to be special, and the Good Gilbert made it so. We both agreed it was one of, if not the best, dining experience we had encountered. I would highly recommend the Good Gilbert restaurant. We will be going back there in the foreseeable future.     We had 5 small plates, 2 mains and 2 desserts to share between 4 people. Everything was exquisite and delicious. The staff were amazing with recommendations and were passionate about food and wine. We can’t wait to go back!
