Amazing fish, world class caesar salads and honestly the best hospitality I have ever encountered in a restaurant in the US — Neil was our waiter and he was amazing!

This used to be a Pittsburgh classic for a nice evening out. Not any more. We had an early reservation (5:45) after enjoying the downtown market. They were out of many menu items. The food was not so good especially for the price. So disappointed.

It was chaotic and the servers/valet/chefs/reception personnel were handling it with Grace and patience. The food was awesome and the buffets were kept filled. It was a very special outing with a special group of friends celebrating a wonderful holiday season. I would highly recommend the grand concourse for any special occasion.

Food was exceptional - we’ve been doing Sunday brunch during the Christmas season here for 12+ years - this year the food was some of the best it’s been this year - however, the table service was lacking. Our drink orders were taken quickly when we were seated, only coffee and water ordered for the 8 of us - we all filled our plates at the buffet and were completely DONE eating our before the server returned with the coffee, and we finally got the attention of a neighboring server to fill our waters. Server was friendly, and claimed there was a shortage of coffee pitchers so it took longer than usual to get the coffee to us. Regardless, for $46/person at a brunch, coffee and water should have been quick and easy requests - the 18% gratuity added to our party of 8 was ridiculous for a self serve buffet and empty glasses.

A bit crowded but that is to be expected with Christmas. Our server, Moses, was the best wait staff we have experienced anywhere (including cruises.) Please let him know we appreciated his professionalism. Meal was pricy but worth it.

Grand Concourse is a beautiful venue steeped in history. The view of the river and downtown is amazing. The food is pretty good— probably one of the best brunch buffets I’ve ever had. Love the donut machine !! The music was so loud we couldn’t talk to each other. It finally got turned down when someone complained. The bathrooms were very dissatisfactory They needed a good cleaning and freshening as well as a supply check. If you have a good server and it’s not too crowded, def worth the money.

The venue continues to be amazing. The decor, the vibe, the ambiance are exceptional. Our food was fair - small portions for large pricing. Our $26 seafood appetizer came in basically 3 bite sized shells. It was extremely delicious, but for what amounted to about 2 forks-full of food per shell, it was very much not worth it. And, why 3 shells for 2 people? It would be nice, as a shareable appetizer, to have a quantity to share equally. Our main course was nicely prepared and beautifully presented but we the salmon tasted about as good as we could make ourselves at home. Nothing special. The 3 pieces of asparagus was a bit minimal and also prepared as nothing special. The service was subpar. Our empty appetizer plate sat on our table for over 20 minutes as waited a bit too long for our main course to be served. Our server forgot to bring bread, until the main course arrived. She also checked on us when our food was almost gone - a bit late. I also never received a replacement knife after my food arrived, so I had to steal one myself from another table. Minor details, but they add up - especially for a high-end restaurant, so its worth mentioning. Overall, we left a bit disappointed as this was a special occasion (I had put in my reservation that we were celebrating our 9th anniversary, but it was never acknowledged). As beautiful a place as this is, I have reservations about making future reservations.
