Have eaten at Grand Ticino a few times, more at lunch than dinner. Dinner last night was a disaster, to say the least. We started with a Caesar salad, and it was good as usual, but nothing went right after that. My wife ordered a cheeseburger, and it arrived without cheese; she sent it back, and it returned a few minutes later with cheese but cold fries. I ordered the lasagna, and the dish I was presented with had lasagna noodles with a very acidic red sauce and pieces of chopped-up meatballs scattered around the bowl; it did not resemble any lasagna I have ever made or eaten anywhere. A staff member asked how my dish was, and I gave him an honest response. The gentleman insisted on preparing me another dish, and I asked for the spaghetti Bolognese. And guess what, a bowl of skinny pasta noodles (something smaller than spaghetti), drowned in the same acidic red sauce with three large, poorly prepared meatballs, was presented to me. I took two bites, pushed the dish aside, and asked for our check, which included the full price for the food I could not eat. No further follow-up from anyone on the staff, although it is evident that the food was unsatisfactory. The worst dining experience I have endured in a very long time. WILL NOT GO BACK

The food quality and service level have consistently dropped over the past few years. Hope they can figure it out.

Have always loved Grand Ticino, but was disappointed at my birthday dinner tonight. The shrimp scampi had way too much lemon, to the point where the pasta was not edible. Told the waiter, who did not seem to care. Doubt we will return.

Dined on a Monday which was nice because a lot of restaurants are closed that day of the week. Food was well prepared and served hot. Nice size portions. Our waitress was very professional and friendly. It’s not Amores intimate elegant atmosphere but I’d go back again. Two suggestions would be change the music to something more instrumental and classic rather than top 40 and lose the heavy outdated draperies on the front window.

Cocktail came out for one person and was not a Full serving…they said they ran out but still charged regular price. Those that got pasta should have been asked if they wanted grated parm on it (spaghetti) but were not asked. A couple thought their wine may have been a little old. Food was good though!
