    Very unique visit tonight, to a typically "special occasion place". The seasonal pomegranate lemon drop martini tasted like sour mix & vodka - it was awful. The menu was covered in a sticky mess that remained on our hands all night & the special menu looked like it had been in the trash. Pre-ordering, the place (typically quite classy) gets a 2 of 10 at best tonight. The meatballs (4 for $14 & rather small) were almost warm & came with 1 tiny piece of bread. This dish was worth approx $3. I ordered a $32 medium-rare steak. It came very well done & was so gristly, there was more waste on my plate than there were edible bites. The mashed potatoes & sauce were lovely, as were the add-on of caramelized onions. The seasonal veg came with large hunks of cauliflower which were refrigerator cold (I grabbed it with my fingers - COLD, not room temp) - the other veg in the mix were warm. The chocolate bundino with sea salt was the star of the meal - positively rich & decadent, as one would expect from Greystone! It was overall a very off night. Dinner was $140, for 2, and it was not worth $19.99. I won't return, as our "special Christmas dinner splurge" would have been more appetizing at the convenience store across the street.

    Greystone is a beautiful restaurant. Our server seemed to have had too many tables and was overwhelmed. We waited about an hour for our check. The food is always excellent with a beautiful ambience.

    This is the second time I’ve had dinner with friends at Greystone. Hard to find a restaurant of this level in the Harrisburg area without going to Hershey. Both times were thoroughly enjoyable. The cocktails, food, and service are excellent and it’s nice to have a meal where it is possible to have a conversation without yelling at each other over the background noise. The atmosphere was inviting. The pork chop dinner was a great value as they served two large chops with mashed potatoes and veggies. Highly recommend Greystone. We will be back!
