   I sat at the bar and had great service from Vegas who made a great drink- met some good people sitting next to me. Very lively crowd around the bar.I ordered the NY Strip and it was overcooked, very average tasting, mashed potatoes tasted good but were not fresh and kinda cold. I don’t think I’d go back for the food but would go back for a drink and conversation.

   Overall good but not as expected. I asked for a steak knife 3 times and ended up eating my steak with a butter knife. Salads were served with the meal. Had to ask for bread which came after the meal was served.

   While we were so happy to have the Grove open on Christmas Day, they seem to be having major issues in the kitchen. Salads arrived after dinner along with the rolls. They did apologized, provided a free dessert and wrote off the salads. Perhaps a more organized plan for the holidays. However, we were glad to have a place to eat dinner so we were patient and thankful for the staff who worked on Christmas Day!

   First thing, we were very pleased that the hostess was able to quickly seat us in a booth. My wife has mobility issues, and it was of prime importance that we got a booth. Our server, Clark, was professional and friendly. Our meals, Prime Rib, Pistachio Snapper, and Salmon were all delicious. Sound level, for Christmas, was vibrant but not too loud at all. Overall, a pretty good experience.

   This was our first visit as we just moved to Lakewood Ranch. We went for Christmas meal. The hostess was very welcoming and kind. Service was quick and centered on us as customers. The food quality was just average. My snapper was very dry as was the bread basket. The two others had steak and indicated they were both cooked as ordered. Although both had to wait to get steak knives for several minutes. The table behind us also did not receive a steak knifes and was still waiting for one as we were leaving. Need better attention to detail. We sat on the patio and the atmosphere was nice. Dessert and drinks were creative and good.

   Definitely not worth the money $44 for a ribeye, the mashed potatoes weren’t even real. They didn’t have any steak knives to cut the ribeye definitely not worth the money will not return.

   We returned to the Grove after a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. I was a little disappointed that this time our waitress informed us that we could make no substitutions for the sides. So we just asked that they not put the side we didn't want, which they did. I was also disappointed in my prime rib, which was a very thin cut. But overall It was a nice dinner.

    We waited an hour for our meal. When it arrived it was barely warm. 1 person in our party has an allergy to rice and peanuts. She ordered the Salmon dinner and asked for mashed potatoes instead of rice. The waiter said no substitutions, special menu. He brought a piece of Salmon, nothing else! The other 2dinners ordered came with mashed potatoes so we gave some of ours. The waiter would not even ask the kitchen. Instead of putting rice on the plate put potatoes which came with several dinners! It wasn’t a like or dislike, it was a serious allergy.
