   Hai Noon always delivers an exceptional service and vibe when we dine here. He come about once a month and the food never disappoints. The staff is very well educated and knows their stuff! The small portions are great

   We've now gone to Hai Noon twice. Both experiences were excellent. The food is mostly Japanese tapas-style and VERY tasty. The atmosphere is very casual with a 70ish decor. The two front staff (Matt & Arizona) are super friendly and helpful. Given the food quality, it surprises me that Hai Noon isn't busier. For both of our visits (mid-week), there were few other diners, and the sound level was very low. The location (in a low-price motel, but a very short distance from Old Town Scottsdale) and almost no signage on the street ensure this spot qualifies as a real HIDDEN gem. This is a great intimate date spot for those who appreciate Japanese cuisine, but don't want to deal with the "scene".

   When I'm in Phoenix, I dine here once a week. The menu is perfect and I order almost every item as I love the food ( small plates). The chef understand flavors and quality and presentation. He is a very caring perfectionist! The great bar staff go out of their way to create interesting cocktails too plus there is Japanese vodka, beer and whiskey. All great flavors too. Needless to state, we love it at Hai Noon ! JMR

   If you live in or are passing through Phoenix and have not dined at Hai Noon, you have missed out on a uniquely world class experience where Japanese Culture is impressed affectionately on the City's 20th century desert legacy. Go.

   There is something so special about Hai Noon. Both the service and food are exceptional. Chef is coming up with some incredible dishes and flavor profiles I have never encountered before. Specials/ seasonal dishes this time around came from local farm Two Wash Ranch and I cannot rave more about the quality. Stand outs for me were the spoons and vegetables. You truly can’t go wrong and what’s even more amazing is that chef Nobuo Fukuda serves you certain plates and that gives this dining experience an almost *pinch me, am I dreaming* moment as you can tell how much he cares about his art. Absolutely will be back (it is now dubbed my local neighborhood spot) and will be raving about it to all my friends. Wish I took more photos but most of the food was gone after it was set on the table.

   Do not, I repeat, DO NOT sleep on the brussel sprouts. I know, ordering brussel sprouts at a Japanese restaurant? Why? I thought the same. I trusted the waiter's recommendation and he did not steer us wrong. I ordered another bowl after immediately inhaling them and cannot get them out of my head. Everything else we had was also incredible, unique, flavorful and delicate. Very cool vibe and authentic.

   This was one of the most pleasantly surprising meals in a long time! The food was excellent and each dish being presented by the chef was a great touch. Would recommend to anyone!

   A fantastic experience all around. From the warm retro atmosphere - that was inviting and interesting, to the complex flavours and deeply thoughtful dishes and the friendly, hospitable service - I could not recommend this restaurant enough. 4 of us decided on the restaurant to celebrate a special birthday and the staff were attentive, knowledge and just great all around. As for the food - each dish was presented thoughtful - from the surprising contrast of hamachi and grapefruit to the melt in your mouth pork belly and perfectly cooked vegetables, the flavours were unique, memorable and all around perfectly balanced. Thanks to the team and we’ll be back.

   Absolutely phenomenal dishes and visual presentation. The items we had were absolutely delicious. The waiter seemed a tad pretentious (!) and not overly accommodating with a food allergy but aside from that it was an innovative and beautiful meal.
