Hana Japan Steakhouse is the premier hibachi & teppanyaki experience in the Bay Area. All reservations are for the live cooking hibachi experience. The menu features USDA Choice Black angus beef and fresh seafood items cooked to perfection right in front of you. Try the Hibachi Salmon for a tasty dinner, the popular New York Steak or our newly added House Dry Aged Rib-Eye. Dinner items are served with a salad featuring our special organic Hana dressing, house soup, steamed rice and seasonal vegetables. Hana Japan’s menu also serves gluten-free options, vegan fare as well as a kid-friendly dishes.

Serving the San Francisco Bay area since 1979, Hana Japan draws a local regular crowd and proudly serve during dinner hours. Diners get to enjoy special discounts on their birthdays when they visit with parties of four or more. We are now open for dinner seven days a week. Reservations are Highly Recommended.

  • Hibachi Classics - $45 per guest

    Multiple dates available
    Classic Hibachi. For parties of 10 or more, we offer a unique hibachi pre-fixe menu: a multi-course, teppanyaki experience which will include house soup and house salad for all guests--a full entree per guest that includes--fresh seasonal vegetables--vegetable fried rice--and all guests will enjoy the following: (a) USDA choice New York steak, (b) white shrimp, (c) white meat chicken, and (d) salmon filet. This menu price does not include the large party 20% service fee, tax, appetizers, dessert, or beverages, and the entire party must be included. Payment due at restaurant, one check. Where possible, we will accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, and of course, you are welcome to add on extra hibachi items from our regular menu.

This menu is priced at $69.50 per person (not including 20% service fee, tax, appetizer, dessert, or beverages) and the entire party must be included. Payment due at the restaurant. Where possible, we will accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, and of course, you are welcome to add on extra hibachi items from our regular menu.

                                                                Despite having a set reservation of 6, we were not seated until 6:45. Hiccup with the hosts who insisted on set menus for everyone despite booking on open table that didn’t mention anything of this and the restaurant did not call to let us know ahead of time. The manager/owner was willing to not do a set menu for the sleeping child after the hosts wouldn’t agree to this. Service was slow, seemed like they were down a chef. Very nice touches with the roses at the end of the dinner for the ladies with it being Vday. A courtesy call about set menus would have been appreciated so we were not boxed into this.

                                                                A very enjoyable setting … meeting other people sitting at the same table watching a very experienced chef chop, flip, set afire, a meal for you and answering questions from guests:) food delicious and drinks were great as well!

                                                                We came in about 5pm, and what stood out right away was any employee that I saw greeted us. Hostess was very nice and we were seated. The service was outstanding! Our host checked on us and our drinks very well! The cook was entertaining, funny and cooked our steaks perfectly! The steak was so good, I didn’t use the sauce! The room and decor is a bit “tired” but did not affect my overall all wonderful experience! I will gladly return for another visit !,
