We went back to Haven to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. The kitchen was able to modify some dishes to accommodate her allergies without changing the dish. Our table along the windows overlooking the city was a perfect backdrop for a perfect evening.

The service from our server Alejandro was excellent. The restaurant itself was beautiful and well maintained with an excellent view of Manhattan. The food was very good and the background music was at a reasonable level. The only thing I was not a fan of was that the music they played was dance music. It would have been better if they played instrumental jazz or classical.

So here’s the deal . Haven is a fabulous Restaurant, but the server made it clear that we only had an hour and a half to dine, and she threw the food at us under an hour. I. asked that she slow it down to the hour and a half and that the appetizer not come out within two minutes of putting the order in and lo and behold. Guess what ?? the appetizer came out in two minutes so we ate the appetizer I asked for my salmon, medium rare and it came out well done so it had to be sent back. This is a chef issue and not a server issue I understand but when the server says to me, “you need to be out of here in an hour and I want your total order now so I can get you out of here” , this server literally needs to be fired. The rating is because of the server not the food. The food is good.

Brunch with a dear friend. I drove 2 hours to meet at Haven. It was so worth the trek. View is incredible. Especially at sunset on the Manhattan skyline line. Food is for true foodies. I have allergies. The chef catered and adjusted for me. My meal was phenomenally fantastic. All the staff is attentive, kind, helpful. Wonderful experience. My second time here
