   Hazelwood is one of my favorites restaurants and we regularly visit the Excelsior location with NEVER a bad experience since its opening. This was only my second time at the St. Louis Park location and I was sorely disappointed. Our server was almost nonexistent. It took forever to get noticed and we had to flag her down as she sailed past for both drink and food orders. No one asked how the food was and I could never get an iced tea refill. My salad had mostly brown-tipped lettuce and the dressing was only drizzled over the Caesar salad, as opposed to tossed together. The whole thing was covered in a sea of powdered Parmesan that poofed over the table as I dug in my fork. The chicken was rubbery. So disappointing. I’m hoping this was just an off day but it will be awhile before I visit this location.

   The food was excellent as always. We were a party of 4 with a wheelchair. We were put at a very small round table that was extremely uncomfortable. The wheelchair took up most of the space under the table so the rest of us had a hard time fitting. We had a reservation, we come here often and before today they always put us at a bigger table by the windows. I said something to the hostess and to be honest, she really didn't care. This of course will not stop our visits, I just wanted to make them aware if a guest says they have a wheelchair, they should think about where they put them.

   Had a very nice lunch. The Brussels Sprouts were extra delicious with good presentation and easily shared. The mixed greens salad with walnuts and balsamic dressing needed a few more nuts but was tasty. Very pleasant server and excellent decaf coffee!

    Hazelwood is an excellent restaurant with superb service, wonderful cooked to order food and an extensive menu. It is one of our favorite restaurants.
