Hedonist (noun): a pleasure-seeker. Our core values are: Uniqueness, Playfulness, Kindness and Pleasure. We believe at the intersection of these (like the four interconnected rings of our logo), great experiences materialise.

Providing amazing experiences through excellent food and wine, exceptional customer service all delivered within a magnificent setting is our aim. Hedonist is just across from Sydney's picturesque Collaroy Beach in a beautiful site refurbished in our hedonistic theme.

Our core cuisine is Modern Australian, masterfully prepared by our Head Chef, Emanuele Pelonero and team who have significant Australian and international experience gained in some of the worlds best restaurants. Our philosophy is to source the best local ingredients and let these speak for themselves.

Older children are welcome however we cannot permit children under ten years old due to safety requirements and some mature themes within our décor. We do not offer a children's menu.

    We were there for the Christmas in July lunch on Sunday and it was excellent! Great food - entree, main and dessert for $75 was very good value. Live music through the afternoon was fantastic too. Highly recommended.

    Terrible restaurant!!! Wet cold Fri night. Restaurant was freezing cold, absolutely no heating. Ignored by staff. No attempt to give us a glass of water although other tables were fussed over.. When food arrived very small glum fillet of Blue-Cod, very un appetising. Glasses of wine were from previously open bottles and were flavourless. We asked for the bill twice and eventually stood at the register to pay. Could not get out quick enough.

    What a nice spot for that special occasion. The service and staff are outstanding and to have the chef come out for a quick chat was a nice touch. We had the prawn toast which was outside the box and delightful, and the kingfish I adored as the accompaniments perfectly supported the lemony flavour of the fish. The aged rib eye was missing the funk flavour that usually defines the aged meat and was cooked blue, which my husband has trouble with as he asked for medium rare. Because it is presented sliced there was no point sending it back so we ate it and although a little sinewy, it was still a nice flavour. I loved the spatchcock, very flavourful and order a side that will soak up those beautiful juices. I love that the menu is seasonally selective as it ensures that I look forward to returning to see what else these lovely people have up their sleaves. Well done.

    Wow! We’re so glad we discovered this hidden gem. It only opened this year. Came here for Mother’s Day brunch - loved the green velvet sofas, the tactile wooden tables and golden hued accents. Great decor! Cosy but refined. Had a delicious brunch - can’t believe how reasonable the prices are and the menu was wonderful - not the same old thing you see everywhere else (eg. Spanner crab omelette). We will definitely be back for a lunch/dinner to explore the menu further. Very impressed!

    Overall it was a very nice experience / dinner. Food and wine was very nice however not a high selection of mains and also wines . Just a few more choices of each would have been nice.
