   Wonderful evening at HOG, gracious host, complimentary apéritif, incredible/expansive wine list all available by the glass!! (and all very reasonably priced to encourage drinking), we need to come here more often, Henley on Grace has a neat niche among Richmond’s restaurant staples, great location, cool vibe, great wine bar, delicious food - we had the soup course, sea-bass tuna entrees, perfectly paired bottle of Albariño and chocolate mousse cake for dessert, perfect. 5-stars, very well done.

   This was our first time at Henley's. Extensive wine list and our Cab Franc from Argentina was excellent (they didn't have the Virginia Cab Franc we first requested). We shared a bowl of seafood soup that was excellent. Both of us (my wife and I were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary) went with seafood entrees. My wife ordered scallops and I got the Chilean sea bass special. Both were perfectly prepared and quite enjoyable. The tempting description of the accompaniments to our main course seafood entrees (roasted carrots, asparagus) and the disappointing results on the plates were simply due to quantity. Granted, we both love vegetables and eat a lot of them. But there was literally a single small roasted carrot (cut in half lengthwise no less) on each of our plates. Two asparagus spears with the scallops and a few leaves of spinach with the sea bass (curiously not in the description) and a beautiful presentation was weakened by skimpy quantities. My request for a substitute of mashed cauliflower for the rice was forgotten (but quickly corrected). Still, we enjoyed our meals. For dessert (not made in house and our server didn't know where) we tried the creme brulee cheese cake. It was excellent; we practically licked the plate. The atmosphere in this cozy neighborhood venue was quiet and comfortable (we had an early dinner) with a local artist's work displayed on the wall.

   We found Henley on Grace almost by accident more than a year ago. Since then, we have been back several times and have always had an outstanding dining experience. H.O.G.’s selection of wines-by-the-glass is unparalleled and their menu is always eclectic and exciting. Dessert is magnificent and not to be missed.

   Mothers Day Brunch for my wife! Cozy restaurant, food was great...3 course meal. Owner greeted us upon entry and came over to speak with us and get feedback on service and food, which was great! Server very attentive, great experience and definitely will be back. Wife had lobster/crab w eggs, biscuits, fruit. I had steak 6oz w eggs biscuits and fruit, we both had lobster rolls as appetizer, choice of desert.

   Great neighborhood restaurant with an accommodating and friendly staff. The food was very well prepared and tasted very, very good. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something away from the usual chain or over-hyped city establishments.

    Our meal was great. I just felt a little rushed as they brought out our entrees before we were finished with the appetizers. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant.
