    Hello, thank you for your feedback (NO NAME OPENTABLE DINNER FROM MIAMI) and for allowing us to clarify a few points. My name is Isabel and I am the manager of **Herdade 1980**. We would like to mention that we do not manage this application directly. It is simply connected to our reservation system, Cover Manager. Therefore, the photos and all the information available here were not provided by us. Unfortunately, this also means we cannot reply directly to our guests via this platform. To address your review, we found this alternative way to respond. Our restaurant is located inside the **Mercado do Bolhão**, a historic and traditional fresh market in Porto, not in a shopping mall. The restaurant is situated on the third floor of a beautifully restored building that has preserved its history within its walls and won multiple awards for architecture and design. Regarding the "small circular room" you mentioned, it is actually a spacious area with a ceiling height of 7 meters. The restaurant also features a square dining room and an outdoor terrace overlooking the market, with over **200 m²** of indoor space. Our **Frango da Guia with piri-piri** is inspired by the culinary traditions of the Algarve and is one of our most popular dishes. We are sorry if the presentation or preparation did not meet your expectations. It is a rustic dish designed to take our guests on a journey through Portuguese gastronomy, which is our primary goal. On that note, we are proud to share that we ranked in the **TOP 5 of the 2024 Portuguese Tourism AWARDS in the Gastronomic Tourism category**. We would love to welcome you back on your next visit to Porto, where we aim to provide a gastronomic experience that fully represents the rich culinary heritage of Portugal.     When we arrived, I was not aware that the restaurant was inside of a shopping mall. No big deal, still nice, like the pictures indicated. But then we were seated in a small circular room that was crowded, but not cramped. We were given bread and seltzer water within five minutes. We then waited literally 30 minutes for our drink and meal order, which we ordered all at once because we were thirsty and hungry. My wife had the beef tenderloin- she liked it. I ordered the chicken. It was a hot mess. Terrible presentation, overcooked, and probably two bites. Cannot believe that they actually serve the chicken this way. Something like a Cornish hen chopped up thrown onto a slab after being pulled out of a woodfired. It was actually comical. Also, we both wanted the au gratin potatoes, but they came with fish. So we went with “potato skins” topped with cheese. Very disappointing upon arrival to see these were bowls of potato chips with processed cheese squirted on top- something you’d find at a sporting event. In fairness, the gin drinks were delicious, the wait staff nice, but generally, the overwll experience and food was a disappointment. New chef needed.

    Good steak, nice vibes. Only one entrance in after 9pm so don’t be phased when you get there. Staff very friendly and professional.

    Excellent restaurant, lovely room with large windows. Flames grilled steaks were just perfect. Would thoroughly recommend.

    We dined at Herdade 1980 to celebrate our anniversary while visiting from Ireland. The food was impeccable particularly the steak, it was beautifully cooked and served with a delicious sauce. Dessert is a must, the banoffee meringue was a triumph. The service was warm and friendly. Overall a lovely dining experience.

    Great venue, food was excellent and service very attentive. Had the Portobello Mushrooms and Octopus, delicious. Would recommend for anyone staying in Porto.
