Nestled in the historic village of Long Grove, Gerri's Tea Room represents her roots and heritage as a native of Ireland. Opened in 2012, the tea room features a classic experience and introduction to the past time of afternoon tea in an elegant and charming setting.

The high tea is inspired by British classics – an artful array of finger sandwiches, raisin scones, and petite pastries – a menu that represents authenticity. Gerri and her hosts fill delicate antique tea cups with freshly brewed and strained tea from antique silver teapots in Victorian attire.

From ladies’ socials, birthdays and bridal showers to corporate events and wedding receptions, High Tea with Gerri accommodates all occasions, never compromising on quality or intimacy – even for large gatherings!

We had such a lovely time. The ambiance is perfect and everything was delicious. Our server was very sweet. If I had one suggestion, it would be, offer champagne. This was my second time here and it was so enjoyable.

I took my mom here for a mother / daughter day and we had such an enjoyable time! The food was tasty, just enough and tea was delicious. I will come back here again!

My first experience at a tea service and it was awesome. Gerri's place was so neatly decorated i really didn't know what to expect. Our server was very sweet and accommodating and the food, yes super small portions, was delicious. My wife explained that this isn't a "regular " restaurant in terms of quantity of food but it's an experience. And an experience it was!

Very nice ambience in a lovely tea room. The tea experience is pretty typical, with sandwiches, a scone and desserts. The house blend tea of English Breakfast and Early Grey is good, but other tea experiences do give you more options. The tea sandwiches seemed liked they had been made a few days prior and stored in the fridge. We thought they tasted refrigerated and were not very flavorful. The scone was fresh and most of the dessert bites like the macaron and chocolate cake were good. Desserts can be made ahead but I think the sandwiches should be made a little fresher, at least the same day.

This year the women in my extended family decided to try high tea together in hopes to start a new holiday tradition. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed great food in a charming ambiance. Albeit we were the only party at the time, but the service was super friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back for more family tea time.

I had an early reservation during the week and therfore no one else in restaurant. Peaceful, quiet atsmophere listening to Christmas music. Just the kind of place to unwind.
