Hiyoko is a space with 16 seats and it is the first yakitori style restaurant in Mexico. Most of its menu is concentrated in chicken cooked on Japanese charcoal called binchotan under the sumiyaki technique marinated in salsa madre. In its menu we can also find rice and vegetables.

We had no idea what to order but made wonderful decisions. We chose to share each selected dish and enjoyed the tastings of the small scale sized portions. The chicken appetizer dish was not small! Six significant pieces were very filling. The sashimi was also a plentiful dish with three pieces in each of three varieties. This was elevated Japanese food and we are thrilled to have experienced it.

Los yakitoris están deliciosos recomiendo mucho el de rabito y el de pescuezo tiene como una textura muy diferente y hasta crujiente. Buena selección de Sakes y Sashimis deliciosos. Muy recomendable full japanese experience!

Excelente comida! Servicio atento aunque habrá a quien le parezca lento, es slow cooking pero totalmente justificado el ritmo de la llegada de los platos. Nada ruidoso e íntimo, aunque por el principio de comer en barra se complicaría para algunos la convivencia si son más de 3 comensales. Muy recomendable!

Soy cliente regular del resta. cada vez q estoy en CDMX y por eso decidí ir con amigos y recomendarlo. Lamentablemente no había casi nada en existencia y eso que es un menú corto. El restaurante estaba casi vacío y el servicio fue desatento y lento. Pedimos 1 botella de sake y cuando ordenamos la otra no había del mismo. Para colmo nos movimos al bar de arriba y fue tan malo que mejor pedimos la cuenta y nos fuimos a otro lugar. Me da pena porque soy cliente de este y otros restaurantes del grupo y son muy buenos, por eso o sugerí...pero esta vez me quedaron muy mal.

Would absolutely eat here again when in Mexico City. The service was amazing. I loved the ambiance in the space, it was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of our trip. The food was creative and delicious. And the price was a steal.

La barra me pareció bien en general, probamos varios platillos a mi gusto las porciones eran muy pequeñas y desabridas… en el menú tenían varios platillos de los que no tenían los ingredientes… también me pareció que la atención que recibimos no fue la mejor, las personas de la barra ni nos pelaron, a la mesera le faltaba personalidad o experiencia, sonaba más a choro de bienvenida de McDonalds… la música me pareció bastante básica y el baño mixto olía a humedad… lo único bueno fue que no me cobraron un platillo por qué me olvidaron como por una hr, hasta que le reclamé a la mesera… en general podría decir qué no lo recomendaría y tristemente tampoco regresaré…
