   Filet mignon was not seasoned very well nor was it the right temperature asked for. The venison loin was perfectly cooked however it wasn’t seasoned very well either. Service was excellent, the food needs improvement.

   My parents love coming here every time they come into town because the food and service are always so great. They are here for the Thanksgiving holiday, and today (on what some consider the busiest restaurant day of the year!!) was no exception. Casey was our server and she was so attentive throughout the whole experience - She was knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of my mom’s questions when she had concerns due to food allergies. She was kind and upbeat and overall amazing - Will definitely be back to request Casey!

   Nice place. Little loud but the beautiful fire and decor burned it out. Pleasant experience. Not candlelight or fine service but was ok.

   Everything we ate was fantastic: Chesapeake oyster stew, pan roasted venison loin, roast duck, bourbon ball, apple caramel cheesecake. Service was pleasant and attentive.

   Had drinks, appetizers, and dinner on a sofa in front of a roaring fire. Beautiful way to start the Thanksgiving holiday escape! Really enjoyed the fried shrimp appetizer, with a delicious dipping sauce. The French dip sandwich and Rueben rolls were very good too. The Smoky Old Fashioneds made the whole experience come together perfectly!

   Excellent service, great drinks, delicious food. Server went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and had everything we needed to celebrate the birthday girl

   Great overall. Two areas in which I would recommend for improvements: 1. Way too dark in the booth my wife and I were sitting. Needed to use my iPhone light to read the menu. 2. The crab cakes were mushy. They did hold together and fell apart like they were too wet. They tasted fine, but had poor consistency.

   Did not like the music for the dinner side of venue. It was a DJ playing rap during dinner in a setting that seemed more appropriate for jazz and relaxation. It was if the music was for a club setting. No one was dancing and it was too loud to have conversation. It ruined my experience.

   This place is well worth the stop in. I was a server most of my adult life so I am a little critical. Service was spot on. The hostess was welcoming and accommodating. The environment is cozy. Huge beautiful fireplace when you walk in. The food was incredible. It’s pricey but well worth it. I couldn’t believe the amount of food I received on my plate. I highly recommend this place!     This was not our first visit to the Hunt Room, however, this time we requested seating in the bar. It was an outstanding experience and raised the ambience to a new level. We had a great view of the huge fireplace, the hunting decor, and also the Distillery. It reminded us of an English Pub. Although it was Friday evening at Happy Hour, the service was phenomenal. Our server, who was also one of the bartenders, took the time to ensure that we had everything we needed. And the food! We started with the fried cheese curds and pickles, that were so fresh and hot out of the fryer, we had to wait a few minutes and enjoy our drinks before we could eat them. My husband selected the grilled quail as his entree. It was delicious and melted in your mouth and was accompanied by a wonderful cornbread dressing. I had the Prime Rib French Dip, which was the best I've ever had - not a bit of fat, served on a soft, warm, freshly made roll. Although it was noisy in the bar, it was energetic, not distracting, and added to the ambience. We definitely will return soon to the Hunt Room!
