    The service and food are amazing. The environment is very conducive to a nice celebration or business lunch. The location is easy to find for visitors and convenient for the DC office crowd.

    My friends and I came for brunch and had a great time. The food was outstanding and such a great value to get an app, entree, dessert, and bottomless mimosas for just $40/pp.

    It was our fist time at the restaurant and it was really amazing the staff, the food and all the good stuff that we got, I would recommend this place to have a good time and good experience, you can have a good food anywhere but not the good food and good experience together.!! It’s was great.!!

    We found the Christmas Eve fixed price dinner at Il Piatto to be overpriced and average at best ($75/person). Better food can be found nearby in the same price range or better (e.g., check out Stan's for amazing food and much better pricing). On top of the average food and service, the restaurant adds a 20% service charge to the meal (making our $75 entrees become $90...totally not worth it). They do say that tipping is optional after that large service charge, but it was unexpected and not clearly disclosed on the menu. We only noticed it once the bill arrived. We will not be back and don't recommend this establishment to others. I believe they are offering the same fixed price meal on New Year's Eve...please go somewhere else.
