    The food was subpar. Pasta was gummy, fish was overcooked and the artichoke appetizer was nothing special. Not sure if we went on an off night for the kitchen or if the food is just lackluster. Rosemary, the owner’s other restaurant, is 10x better.

    After having eaten in restaurants throughout Rome, Joe Flamm has successfully brought that experience to the West Loop. An absolute triumph!

    EXCELLENT service, great execution by a staff that has only been in action for three weeks!!! Food was superb and menu had great options! Cannot wait to go back!

    Il Carciofo is awesome. The service was terrific and the food was off the charts. The carbonara was the best I have ever had and the artichoke appetizer is a must. Zeppole dessert was a great way to finish a great meal. Already booked the next reservation!!

    Poor value for nye. Some courses didn’t seem freshly made. Dessert wasn’t impressive. Service was good.

    Disappointed! We didn’t love anything served. Portions were small and flavor was lacking on everything but trout. Duck was very gamey. Soupy chocolate dessert was gross, Wine pairings were nice but were not served together with the paired course. Wont be in a hurry to go back.
