   I don't normally rate a restaurant so poorly, but just about everything was well below acceptable levels this evening. They brought us the wrong beer, and since we didn't realize it until we tasted it, we didn't bother sending it back. One person ordered the chicken with mushrooms dish, server insisted it was boneless, it turned out to be on the bone. There were 6 of us, 2 of us ordered the special salmon, 1 ordered it medium rare and the other well done. When they brought the salmon, they didn't ask who was getting which, and we didn't think to check and started eating, of course they had switched the orders. Fortunately we were among friends, so we switched back ourselves. My husband ordered pasta with seafood, the clams were ice cold. I ate one, and when I got home, I got violently ill with stomach issues. For dessert, a friend ordered the chocolate dessert (called vulcana?), they brought her bread pudding. She started eating it not realizing it wasn't chocolate, and decided she couldn't be bothered sending it back, given how everything had been going this evening. The server was never around, it was impossible to complain about anything. For the price we paid, the experience was appalling. It was a birthday celebration, but the food and service was grossly disappointing.

   I think they were short staffed tonight. Service lacking. Chair off center. Food was great however poor timing with soup and main course.

   First of all we like the food at il Formaio. Our disappointment was the service overall. We liked the booth we were seated in. We each ordered a drink. It took 15 minutes. Gave the waiter our starter and main course order. Starter another 15 minutes. After finishing the starter it took 30 minutes to bring the main course. The waiter stopped by 1/2 way before the starter to say that a large party had been placed on front of us taking extra time. The lady from check in next to apologize that it was taking so long. When we got the food it was fine, but we only saw the waiter when we were finished asking about dessert. I said no thanks just the bill. That was the only timely thing all night. I cut my tip in half.

   One of our tables dinner arrived cold and even after sending it back to be warmed it wasn't. The server was good but must have had too many tables as he ignored our table at times needed to be asked several times for items before they came. One person ordered lasagna and it was very creamy and excellent. The other dishes were good but not up to their standards.

   This used to be such a special restaurant. The food was mediocre. Service was okay. Probably won’t go back. Too bad.

   It is always a great experience at our local Il Fornaio. Been going for years. Last night was especially good. A wonderful start to the New Year.

   We came here for an early dinner. The place was nice and quiet as it was between lunch and dinner (our favorite time to dine). Our waiter, Stephen, was excellent. The food was very good as was the wine. We will be back soon.

    I’ve been going to your restaurant for many decades and it seems like it’s just going downhill… I’ve tried it three times in the last month and a half and I’m probably gonna have to take a big break
