    Consistently excellent….not innovative or daring, but consistently serving outstanding classic Italian food. This time it was an excellent panzanella followed by superb branzino with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Desserts were excellent as well. We’ll be back frequently.

    Delicious food, particularly our 2 pizzas. Carpaccio, Calamaretti Frittui, Cesar salad, Taiatelle Bolognese were all yummy. My granddaughter loved her refillable Shirley Temple drink and her Margherita pizza. . Server was attentive and helpful.

    Il Fornaio has been our go to for special occasions for many years. The newly opened Mountain View location has kept the quality up in terms of food and drinks. Happy hour every day from 3-5 is a plus.

    We have begun going to Il Fornaio for birthday dinners, get together with friends, and quiet lunches for the two of us. The meals are always exemplary! We have always enjoyed various dishes and are so impressed that every new dish we try, is excellent!

    Dear Il Fornaio Management, As a long-standing patron of Il Fornaio, I was somewhat taken aback by several recent modifications to the menu and the implementation of previously unmentioned charges during our visit to the Mountain View location for Mother's Day dinner in 2025. Upon reviewing the menu, I noted the absence of a particular favorite dish. Furthermore, I attempted to order the Il Fornaio salad, an item I believed to be a consistent offering over the years. Instead, I received a mixture containing lettuce, cranberries, avocado, nuts, and garbanzo beans, which I did not find appealing and consequently returned in favor of the Caesar salad. In addition, the customary bread basket, for which Il Fornaio was well-regarded and which my children always enjoyed for its variety, has been replaced. We were presented with a small serving of four pieces of a single type of bread, accompanied by a charge of $4. As a loyal customer, I must express my disappointment with this alteration. I also observed the addition of a 3% surcharge designated for employee benefits. While I understand the importance of such provisions, it is regrettable that corporate Il Fornaio appears to be shifting this responsibility directly to its clientele. Notwithstanding these concerns, I found the quality of the other dishes we ordered and the service we received to be satisfactory. It is, however, disheartening that certain recent changes have negatively impacted the overall customer experience. Sincerely, Jimmy Dworkin

    Overall, my family enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day lunch. The food were great and our waitress, Paola was really friendly and helpful with our orders. Personally, I think it was a little bit too noisy for me on that day when the restaurant was practically full. That said, I enjoyed the food and the friendly service that I will definitely come back again.

    We made a last minute reservation for 7 people to celebrate a graduation, and they were very nice to provide us with a private room. The food and service were both fantastic. Very courteous and knowledgeable regarding information about vegetarian dishes.
