   The ribbon pasta ragout bolognese and lasagna were good. Our servers were great; as was the manager who went out of her way to help when I lost my parking ticket. They all work seamlessly to accommodate.

   Met a former client &!friend fir lunch. Busy day with lots of groups at the tables. Requested and was seated at a shaded outdoor table. Served leisurely as requested. Enjoyed the ambiance, the wine and the food. For sure a return engagement is on the cards.

   We were celebrating a birthday at Il Fornaio Walnut Creek. Our meal was perfection and the service was great. It was the celebration we were wanting!

   We've eaten at Il Fornaio many times and the food is always consistently good. We enjoy the Bar for a drink before dinner and try and get Paula as our server for dinner. Unfortunately, we did not get Paula last night since her section was full. Service was fine but the attention to detail was not there. We asked for the salt and pepper grinders to be replaced as they did not work or were empty and they were replaced three times with different sets. All three did NOT work or were empty. We ended up grabbing one from the Bar area and it worked fine. We had appetizers and salads and when they cleared our plates they took the used silverware our our plates to use for our entrees even they were clearly very dirty. We also noticed the bathrooms really need updating and cleaning. It's been years since old soap dispensers were removed, the calking on the sinks cleaned or replaced, etc... It's these little things that could really take Il Fornaio to the next level.

   Like always the best food and the best service Darlene is the best waitress she always knows what I order, the service is 5 stars, the drinks and the food are always on time, if is just first time at the restaurant ask for Darlene’s section you will not be disappointed.

    nice setting, good ambiance. food: I saw mixed reviews on yelp and google so I tried to oder 'safe' and ordered a pizza and a side of sautéed spinach. Spinach was great, pizza was poor.....More like cheese on pita bread. the others at our table were happier with their meals. two had salmon which both thought was slightly overcooked and hence a bit dry but otherwise satisfactory. service was friendly.
