   Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. Water glasses were kept full. Son’s pasta was excellent. I ordered the pesto rigatoni and I wouldn’t order it again. It was very undercooked. It’s a thicker noodle that needs longer cooking time. We all tried my dish to make sure I was wrong. Fork went into noodle with difficulty. I quietly sent it back. Second order of it was only slightly better. Again we all tried it to make sure I wasn’t imagining it. In the end it was taken off my bill which I appreciated. Husbands veal would not be ordered again. No where near as good as it should be. I was support though that the manager never came over to acknowledge the error

   First time visiting Il Fornello and we will definitely go back. The staff was very pleasant, food was fast and delicious. The place filled up really fast so make sure you make a reservation if going on a Friday or Saturday.

   Dinner with the family, and it was very enjoyable. Our server, Alexandria was very nice . The food was very good. The pizza was sensational, perfectly cooked and fresh ingredients. We had the veal, the salmon and risotto (lemon, greenbeans and sausage). Drinks were good. Nice to have Morretti on tap! Top notch negroni. It could be just me being picky, but I found the menu smaller than expected. Some traditional, Italian restaurants dishes, pastas, mains, appetizers. A few unique additions. I live in the area and was surprised to see the place full, as not many places around the area are. Hope the restaurant does well and continues to add new dishes to their menu.

   I have dined at the Oakville restaurant multiple times & always good food. At Sheridan location the food was sub par. Appetizer of “roasted” beets was disappointing. The beets were hard…almost raw. Certainly not roasted. Very small portion for $18. My gnocchi was good but asked for chicken on the side & came with tiny pieces of chicken that was not visible right away. I thought they forgot the chicken but then noticed it when I bit into it. Overall not a good experience. Will not go back to that location.

   We had another nice dinner at Il Fornello Sheridan Village. This was our fourth or fifth time since they opened and it continues to be a very enjoyable experience. We shared an Aria salad and a Suprema pizza and they were really tasty. Service was once again very friendly and efficient.
