   While the staff is very friendly, we have now dined twice at the restaurant, with issues with our orders both times. Last night, we were disappointed that they were out of items we had ordered for the prix fixe menu. The substitutions were not ideal, but even more disappointing is that we were not even told that one of our main courses had been completely substituted until it landed on our table. We gladly would have ordered a different replacement, but did not get the chance. The meal was so bad we did not even stay for the dessert portion of the prix fixe. It’s a beautiful space with nice people so we’re rooting for them to do better, but sadly, it was worse than our first experience. They did comp one of our meals without us asking, but with so many options in the neighborhood, we would not recommend this spot for anything beyond a drink.

   We had a wonderful 5-star experience! Our waiter, Zoran, was terrific and enjoyed his warmth and energy. He gave us a wine recommendation that was perfect and our meal was absolutely delectable. We were visiting our son, who lives in NYC, and he selected Il Giglio for us. We absolutely enjoyed our experience.

   One of the best experiences I’ve had! All of the food was truly phenomenal and the service was outstanding. Would highly recommend!

   am always looking for great italian restaurants to try so decided to have a business lunch at il giglio. picked it because of good food reviews by others and wanted a place where we could talk and hear each other. i also spotted something on the menu that isn't normally on most menus. the food was wonderful and we spent ninety minutes talking about business matters. like all good restaurants, bread was served. ah, the presentation was special. next, my melon and prosciutto was served, another excellent presentation, chilled cantaloupe balls with prosciutto wrapped around greens. i did order the paglia e fieno despite being tempted by their other menu items. wonderful, brought back so many memories for me. the staff was experienced and professional. they respectfully let us talk business but were fully attentive of our needs. first class all the way. definitely will be back with my family.

   Amazing from the moment we walked in the door and were greeted with a hearty buona sera! Upscale Italian eatery with a cool SoHo vibe with a warm ambiance. Our waiter was fabulous - friendly and helpful with suggestions. They were very accommodating with a couple of special requests for menu mods. Food was fabulous, including a generous plate of complementary bread, cheese, olives and bruschetta. Pasta was perfectly al dente. Overall a fabulous experience and a place we are anxious to revisit.

   Amazing restaurant and staff! True Italian restaurant where the chef will make you anything you want off the menu too. We had two of the specials and the chicken parm, all were fantastic!

   Everything was wonderful! This has becime one pf my favorite restaurants. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable, the people are warm and friendly and the restaurant itself is spotless!
