   Bought a voucher and booked a table on behalf of my parents as they were having a weekend away in Bermagui. They called me immediately after their dinner and absolutely raved about the food, the setting, and the staff. They each got to have a three course meal, plus drinks for the evening, and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the night! They would highly recommend il Passaggio to anyone local, or anyone visiting the area.

   We started with the fried calamari, so light, tender and delicious, served with a slice of fried lemon & aioli. Then we shared the fried gnocchi with beef ragu , lovely pillows of gnocchi with a sensational tasty and tender ragu. We also shared the equally delicious prawn taggilatale ,yum to all three dishes. We were nearly tempted to have dessert, but were very full. Lovely service from wait staff, all up a fabulous night out, highly recommend. I'm tempted to say, it's better than a lot of restaurants we've eaten at in Italy.

   Amazing food, friendly staff, great service and the location is spectacular. A special mention for the extended pizza menu when our kids were having trouble deciding. So good that you have that flexibility.

   It's always a pleasure to eat at Il Passaggio. The food and service was perfect. The music and the view make the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable.

   From booking online to paying the bill, this was a dining experience to match any of the upmarket Italian restaurants in Melbourne. Unexpected in a beachside getaway but true nonetheless! The upper deck at Bermagui Fisherman’s Wharf offers the option of dining al fresco or inside if the breeze is too cool. Either way you get a view of the harbour and marina. There is a limited but varied selection of starters, mains (including pizza) , sides and dessert, all of which feature locally sourced produce. We chose the olives and goat’s cheese focaccia, followed by linguini with prawns, ricotta gnocchi with beef ragu and risotto with pork and fennel sausage, followed by various flavours of home-made Italian ice-cream and local pear tart. All of the dishes were beautifully presented, of modest proportions (not too large but also not tiny) and absolutely delicious! The food quality and flavour easily match the best Italian restaurants on Lygon Street. There’s also a surprisingly comprehensive wine list featuring Australian and Italian varieties, including interstate favourites as something new. Our servers were polite and efficient; they kept things moving along without being in the slightest pushy or intrusive. All round this was a dining experience to remember, and somewhere to return to without hesitation on future visits to the Sapphire Coast. Deserves every one of its five stars from this satisfied reviewer! 🤗
