Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

    Delicious, wonderfully spiced and flavour-balanced dishes (a particular highlight being the lamb shoulder dish) in a friendly, buzzy atmosphere. We will definitely return.

    We are visiting from California and I saw this on the Michelin app. I came for dinner tonight with my husband and 3 kids. We ordered a bunch of foods and ate everything family style. Every single dish was phenomenal. The first bite to the last was all delicious. For starters we got the hummus, labrot, dukkah, batata harra, falafel, zaharaa harra, za’atar pita, garlic pita. For the meals we shared shish tawook, mudakhan ghanam, tahini kofta. It was all amazing. Kids loved the potatoes, falafels, chicken kabobs, and lamb patty the most.

    This was the best meal we had in London (by far). Absolutely fabulous food. The hummus was stunning (loved the crunch garbanzo’s on top), as was the fresh-from-the griddle pita. The lamb kafta, perfect. And the lamb shoulder was beyond delicious. Desserts…. Wow… pistachio ice cream, perfection. And the dessert with milk, rose water, etc….. was one of the greatest things we have ever tasted.

    As a vegetarian, there was so much variety and each dish was absolutely delicious! Also enjoyed the wine (I had the red by the glass). Overall, we had a lovely meal - I was still thinking about the food the next day which is a great sign! Staff were friendly and attentive - they just needed to bring more cutlery - very minor thing.

    Excellent, flavorful food. Beautiful presentation. Friendly service. The entrance to Kingly Court was tricky, and we had to figure out that Imad’s was on the third floor, but in the end the food was well worth it.

    My second time at Imad's and I'm so pleased to dine here again. Had the falafels (more-ish and crunchy), babaganoush (creamy), cauliflower (perfectly roasted, balanced by pomegranate). Wonderful Syrian ice cream to finish the meal. A warm welcome by our servers. Thank you to everyone at Imad's!
