   Had a celebration holiday lunch. The meal started out fine, but we got there when they opened. As the restaurant began to fill our server got pretty slammed and they clearly were understaffed. No water refills or any service except providing the food. The food was delicious though.

   Another great evening at Insalatas. It was date night with husband and we never go wrong with the cocktail specials. The new grilled head-on shrimp were delicious, as well as old favorites on the menu. Service was perfect and not at all rushed. We appreciated sitting in an area of only two-tops so the ambient sound volume was manageable and we could hear each other talk.

   We appreciated the recommendations for what to order from our waiter, Brian, and enjoyed the food. To have a place like this close to our home here in San Anselmo is perfect. Our friends whom we took with us are grateful for the experience. We will be back.

   Insalata’s never disappoints! I had the salmon tagine last night and it was incredible. Such an interesting medley of flavors and textures! I may have a hard time ordering anything else in the future.

   I had a wonderful birthday at insalata’s! The food was fantastic! Our servers were very nice and helpful and professional. One thing was missing was a greeting as we arrived at our table from our server. We had to ask for waters and glasses. (That was the only thing i would improve on) Otherwise it was a great experience and I will come back very soon and try more things on the menu! Thank you for a lovely birthday lunch.

   Everything was delicious from eggplant fries to PEI mussels. A complimentary cake for our 50 th anniversary was a delicious surprise. Thank you, Taylor!

   For a restaurant that's been a mainstay in Marin for so long, amazing that it continues to offer a great dining experience. We shared the Fall beet salad, which was so terrific we were tempted to order seconds. The mussels and clams were perfect, and the serving portion was just right. Lamb burger was likewise great. Service was attentive without being overbearing. It remains a Marin institution.

   First and foremost ... extra special shout out to our wonderful server, Sharon. Saturday was our third time at Insalata's since we discovered this fabulous and delectable restaurant. We came with different couples on our first two visits but this trip was just the two of us for my husband's bday. I didn't mention anything about the special-ness of this day as he's an understated fellow but boy were the cocktails and dishes perfect for a celebratory dinner! The eggplant fries are delic (ordered all three trips!) and we LOVED the beat salad. Could not have been more perfectly prepared. We also ordered the very unique lamb burger with zoug spiced fries (YUMS!) as well as the ricotta gnocchi which was a decadent treat with excellent Fall flavors (the butternut vodka sauce and brown butter pinenuts - MUAH!). We were embarrassed at how little we had left to bring home (normally we are half at the restaurant, half for leftovers people). This is the second time we were lucky enough to be under Sharon/s per view and, just like our first visit, she was lovely, kind, attentive and a true delight. Thank you, Sharon!! Hope to be back soon!

    Thanksgiving dinner was very good. We had the traditional turkey dinner and pumpkin pie. The salad was tasty and the tiny soup was perfect, as we did not wish to fill up before the main course. The turkey was tasty, and the pumpkin pie was yummy, Our waiter, Trevor, was responsive and very pleasant . The main problem was that we had "outdoor seating." The heaters were not adequate to keep us from feeling cold.
