Attentive service outside on KOTH night makes all the difference. Nice beer selection. Specials menu adds variety to the usual fare.

Food was oddly over seasoned. The nachos had enough salt to melt the ice in your driveway and the stir fry had an attack of sesame seeds that looked like an ant farm. Beer is always just okay. Went for the Halloween candy-beer pairing and they forgot one of the candies and then forgot to take off for charge for the free fifth beer. Service was just okay. Keep your expectations low and you will be fine.

Usually enjoy the consistent experience but tonight was a bit disappointing. Our salad seemed to be overdressed (and the dressing balance tasted off), my jaegerschnitzel entree was much smaller compared to my wife’s chicken schnitzel dish, and part of the brownie in our sundae was burned and bitter in one corner. Our server was friendly, though service seemed a bit slow.

My husband and I decided at the last minute, since we were headed to Media for something else, to stop in Iron Hill for lunch. We got a nice booth in the bar area sitting by the window, a wonderful waitress who has been there a long time approached us letting us know who our waitress will be, she came back and cleaned our table, then our waitress, Jackie, came by who was wonderful. After my soup I had a chicken dish, the chicken was tender but hardly seasoned and was over creamy rice that wasn't too creamy; howerever, the rice was not cooked long enough and was hard. I didn't complain because the rest of the time was pleasant, not too crowded, low key, the seating area was closed for whatever reason and the bar area was the only option. My husband had tacos and loved his lunch. All in all, the pleasant waitresses and the rest of it made it a nice lunch time out. Thank you ladies!
