I’ve eaten at this restaurant dozens of times. But some of our food was cold and tough. But my husband’s steak was awesome he said. The other five meals were not so good. We may take a break from this restaurant until they can get their problems sorted out. Also a Friday night and only about 1/3 full. That should have been a clue to us.

Iron Star never fails! We had our rehearsal dinner here in 2007, and even after all this time, it’s consistently good! We celebrate a specific family event here every year on the same day - this, our 13th year. Tonight’s service was exceptional and of course the food was great! Thankful to have this as a staple in our OKC dining repertoire. Many food restaurants have come and gone over the years, but Iron Star still shines (of course, they’ve learned from the best in Cheevers!). IS doesn’t disappoint- whether a date night, night out with friends and drinks, or a family dinner that appeases both picky kids and sophisticated parents! 🙏

Great lunch experience!! The fried Okra is awesome as is the chili. Highly recommend giving this a try.

My husband, mother, and I were seated in an open area of the restaurant where no other guests were. It was nice and quiet and easy for us to have a conversation. It was chilly in the room, but my husband was comfortable. I had the pork ribs, which were perfectly cooked. The only way they could have been improved would have been smothered with bbq sauce. The baked beans were tasty with a little spice. I didn’t care for the green beans as they were very oily. My MIL liked her salmon, but said the sweet potatoes were bland and dry. She asked for extra butter to add to them which helped some. My husband had the prime rib and said it was delicious. He also had the Mac and cheese which was very tasty and not over cooked. Would recommend. Good value for the amount of food we received. MIL and I took half of our food home. Our server, Alex was very attentive and helpful.

We both had the beef tenderloin salad. It has been a favorite of ours for years. I have had the barbecue and it is great also. Also had a rehearsal dinner there. Always great food and service.

My gal pal and I dine here about every 6 weeks. We always get the same food. We both love the jalapeño pimento cheeseburger with fries or fried okra. It can’t be beat. We also love their perfect margarita’s-some of the best in town.
