It was terribly expensive for what we got. Portions of the cod were too small and sides were not included. For a family meal, this meant it cost £250 with just a few glasses of wine. The Hotel breakfast the following morning was excellent.

Amazing food. Food and drinks very nice. Great quality and steak was perfectly cooked. Very nice place. A touch pricey however generally worth it. We had a great experience and will definitely be back again

The food wasn’t great, pretty tasteless. And the service was worse. Despite not being busy everything was incredibly slow which made us late for our subsequent booking. Thankfully the other establishment were understanding and we didn’t lose our table there. It was a special occasion so I couldn’t complain at the time as it would have upset the people I was with. I certainly won’t go back. The only plus was that it wasn’t too expensive.

We dined from the Festive Menu which was extremely good value for money and the food was of excellent quality. The service was somewhat slow and staff showed disinterest once order was taken which was a pity considering the other positive factors.

A disappointing experience. Went to Isaac’s with a group of friends, one of whom is gluten intolerant. She notified the waitress as we walked over and asked for a gf menu. When we sat down the waitress handed her a several sheets of A4 stapled together with a ‘matrix’ on it and told her to look through the pages and work out which food she could eat. There was no offer to recommend appropriate dishes on the menu which is a disgrace. We ordered drinks and food- the food took over half an hour to arrive despite the restaurant being half empty. My fish burger was tasteless and the coleslaw was so bland I had to salt it to eat it. When the waitress brought our drinks over she handed them to one side of the table and asked us to pass them down- she made no effort to walk around the table of 6 and place them in front of each diner. We did not expect such a poor level of service from a restaurant at the Grand Hotel.

Good food , one of the waiter was friendly and chatty ( student studying computer science ) one of the waitress was a bit abrupt when speaking to us ,but over service was good . The only negative was the toilet paper in the loos was thin and cheap. One of the hand soap dispensers was broken in the female loo ,just don't expect these little oversights when the rest of the hotel is so well maintained ,the hotel also smells lovely . Would visit again .
