Disappointing NYE Experience at Isidore I was happy to dine at Isidore for NYE and eagerly prepaid $336 for their "surprise" menu for two, despite my usual hesitation with such concepts. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The majority of the servers seemed unfamiliar with what they were serving, leaving us without explanations for most of the courses. In a setting like this, I expect some insight into the dishes, but that was largely absent. Adding to the discomfort, the open kitchen allowed us to hear the chef loudly yelling at the kitchen staff, which completely killed the celebratory mood. This isn't Hell's Kitchen, it felt unnecessary. The meal itself had glaring issues. The prime rib was too salty and nearly impossible to cut due to dull knives. To make matters worse, we weren’t given plates for that course, even though other tables were. I also ordered a mocktail that never arrived. When leaving, we realized the staff forgot to include our bagged leftovers. My husband had to return inside to retrieve them, which added to the frustration. On a positive note, the broth and cream sauce for the red snapper were delicious, but the ice cream was overly salty, further detracting from the meal. Overall, the evening was a disappointment, especially given the steep price. At $336, I expected a seamless, enjoyable experience, but what we received might have been worth $200 at best.

Overall a very fun experience and we’d love to return. Came to celebrate a birthday and we were not disappointed. Cocktail was very good and strong. We were delivered complementary champagne for me and a non alcoholic rosé for my girlfriend as she does not drink and they inquired before surprising us, which was a very nice gesture. We’d maybe not order some of the small plates again as some were underwhelming while others were extraordinary. I also found my steak to be particularly tough for the price, however it was a perfect medium rare as ordered and the flavor was great. I didn’t want to trouble the staff so I just took most of it to go. Next time I’d probably just opt to try the pork or chicken dishes. Dessert was also superb. The ambience and service made up for any of the other shortcomings of the meal. Would happily return.

We had an excellent experience!! The service was phenomenal. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and timed perfectly. The food was incredible. Such wonderful flavors! We especially enjoyed the snapper tartare, crab toast and pork chop. I enjoyed watching the kitchen at work as well. No one seemed frazzled or hurried. Highly recommend!

Thoughtful. Interesting. Fun. An impeccable meal from start to finish. Maybe the most interesting (and delicious martini I’ve ever had). Outstanding service by down-to-earth, friendly people. Really smart menu. Raving about this place.

Friendly service (perfect balance of attentiveness - as soon as we finished a dish, it was taken away so quietly and quickly we almost didn’t see them! Our server (Alexis) made the evening extra special with great recommendations, friendly interaction and a bubbly upbeat personality. Comfortable searing, perfect lighting/temperature. Noise level low to moderate (no problems hearing your dinner companions). Food was incredible! Every dish was perfectly balanced, the attention to detail and presentation fabulous. Wiat time for food after order was short. They have a sommelier if you wish, but wines by the glass were well chosen. Can’t wait to come back!!

Tasting menu is an excellent way to experience Isidore. The sommelier did an excellent job explaining each wine they paired with each course. Food was delicious and an interesting mix of taste and texture.
