   Izakaya Masuya is an absolute gem in the heart of Sydney’s CBD! We selected it for our last evening in Sydney, and it turned out to be one of the best meals we had during our entire 3-week stay. From start to finish, everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor. We started with the Salmon Sashimi and the Salmon & Avocado Salad—both were delicious! Next time, we’d probably skip the sashimi and just enjoy the generous portion of the salad, as it was quite large but absolutely delicious. For the main course, we had the Teriyaki Salmon and the Wagyu Tenderloin, which was hands down the best we’ve ever had at a Japanese restaurant. The Wagyu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the flavors were incredible. If we had dined here earlier during our stay, we would’ve definitely come back for a second visit. If you're in Sydney and craving amazing Japanese food, Izakaya Masuya is a must-visit! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town. Highly recommended!

   Was rushed out and asked to leave table in under an hour so it could be turned for the next guests - we hadn't even finished our drinks which we had been billed for.

   I ordered chicken teriyaki sashimi teishoku - the chicken was deep fried the morning so it was served cold! Furthermore to my surprise the Teriyaki chicken was covered in thick batter so it's NOT really right. Sashimi was not very fresh and chewy texture! It's very bad food very poor quality. I don't know why people even go there!

   We were repeatedly asked to leave 30mins after being seated. This was very bad experience and it wasn't like this before. I'll write a google review about this bad experience.

   Amazingly fresh and superb sake choices. The tapas menu choices were perfect accompaniments. Had fresh cucumber pickles, sukiyaki beef and yaki-giri. Would recommend

    A great lunch spot during the week. Wide range of good quality bento boxes to choose from at a reasonable price. The service is very fast and courteous as well.
