Enjoyed a really good Sunday lunch here today. Started with Burratta and Coppa salad, then roast beef with all the trimmings and finished with spotted dick and custard. The food was fantastic, service attentive yet discreet and the interior is really pleasant too. I would highly recommend a visit!

Absolutely lovely food, great service, so helpful. We will be back! Sat in the areas known as “the garden” - as someone who is hard of hearing, it was quiet and ideal! Most enjoyable meal out in ages where I could hear the conversation.

First time at a JO restaurant. Really enjoyed experience but some things let it down: Food - Horseradish on Gravadlax was too much and overpowering. Posh Prawn Cocktail was delicious but the two large lettuce leaves were too big for the bowl and needed a fingerbowl after dealing wirh large whole prawn. Marry Me Pie was outstanding but the amount of the mash accompaniment was a bit stingy. We also had tenderstem brocoli that didn't live up to its name and was hard to eat. We shared the ginger sponge Sticky Pudding, and it was lovely. Service - waiter seemed lacking in knowledge but keen to help. We disagreed with his choice of wine for the main course. Main course plates were cold and we had to request warmed ones. Otherwise enjoyed the meal.

This was my first visit to this restaurant and it wont be my last. A good set menu , an excellent venue right next to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. And the food was unfussy and tasty. I enjoyed a classic steak Diane.

First time to JO and nice to see his presence in Central London. We are from Cornwall and miss Fifteen 😥 London for a show and wanted to eat close to venue. It did not disappoint. Such a gorgeous venue and ambience. Staff very attentive and a credit to the brand. Food great. We had the Scotch Egg followed by the Coal Roasted Chicken and the wife had the Scampi which was equally tasty. We ordered a side of Hasbrown Chips which was probably the disappointing part. 6 chips thick cut not sure what made them Hashbrown - but bland and tasteless. Wouldn’t recommend. Dessert was ice cream and a chocolate mousse which were all fab. Drinks - we had an Old Fashioned (wife said 6/10) whilst I enjoyed a Mojito (I’d say a solid 9/10) Over all we would revisit as enjoyed the experience. Thanks Team. PS Jamie you need to come back to Cornwall 😉

I expected more…service was not as good as it should, food was good but not extraordinary. As I said: expected more for that price and name.

My 16yo daughter and I booked a table at Jamie Oliver's Catherine St restaurant in Covent Garden on Monday 10th Feb for pre theatre 5.30 sitting . The restaurant has a lovely entrance and welcoming vibe. A big space with warm tones and some captivating photos of famous people on the walls. I turned up later than my daughter, who was already seated (promptly). No one greeted/noticed me coming in. It probably took 10mins for a server to ask if we wanted a drink or to order. We ordered off the main menu with bread to start. The mains came quickly, but no bread was served. I then asked for a side salad as the burger had nothing but chips with it. Unfortunately this turned up about 5ish minutes after I'd finished my meal. I politely refused it. My daughter had the scampi and said it was plentiful and delicious. I had the Smash burger, which in and of itself was excellent. Two patties with some guerkin (no other veg) melted cheese and a very tasty burger sauce. Up there with the best I've had. Chips were good but nothing special. We had two homemade lemonades which were also good. For dessert we had the 12 layer Black Forrest, which we both enjoyed very much. Trying to order dessert and trying to pay was a real chore, I think at one point I realised we had been there for half an hour waiting for dessert menus. We had the theatre booked next door for an evening show and ended up going to the till. To summarise this restaurant has a lovely vibe, noise levels were acceptable and the decor was fairly traditional with some nice artistic touches. Food in my opinion was nice quality at a reasonable price. Our total bill including service was £78. The service was a let down. All pleasant enough servers but attentiveness was severely lacking. It didn't seem crazy busy to me but wasn't quiet either. A real shame.
