   It had been several years since my husband and I had eaten at Japan Inn, but since we remember liking it so much, we decided to take a friend there. The three of us were seated immediately and then ordered our food. Our friend had the Yaki Udon Dinner with shrimp and my husband and I shared the Yaki Udon Dinner with steak and the Pad Thai with chicken. Our friend said she enjoyed her dinner but my husband and I thought the two dishes we had were just mediocre. This was because our Pad Thai had a strange flavor which was sprinkled on the chicken. It appeared to be some kind of salty rub that we were not very fond of. We have eaten Pad Thai in many other restaurants but we had never tasted this strange seasoning before. As for the Steak Yaki Udon Dinner, it was just OK. The entree had noodles and vegetables in it along with the steak, and although the steak was tasty and very tender, the noodles were very slimy. We do not know what kind of sauce was in the dish, but it was definitely the sauce that made the noodles slimy. To conclude, the service was very good and the ambiance was very nice, except for the loud singing and table-banging that went on whenever the servers visited a few of the tables to recognize some of the other diners who were celebrating birthdays. My husband and I will probably return, but next time, we will opt for a simple stir fry.

   It was the best day ever. Food was to die for, service was expectacular, and the atmosphere was just pure joy. The best Valentine dinner of my life. Love it, love it, love it!!!!

   Keep in mind we were there for the holiday Valentines weekend. It was extremely busy. If you’re looking for a big-time hibachi show, that’s really not what I would expect. But the food quality is really really good. You do have to fight for whatever service you’re trying to get with multiple tables with very few servers. I would definitely recommend bringing a drink from the bar because you may sit for 10 to 15 minutes before you ever see a server. Once the cook starts, you’re pretty much on your own. Great spot for a birthday. They make a big deal out of it!

   It was wonderful! I took the kids I babysit and it was their first time experiencing hibachi and they had an awesome time.

   We could not eat there. They overbooked, we got there at 8:40 they had not sat down people yet who had reservations from 7:30pm. I waited for 10 mins to talk to someone but they were overwhelmed with people complaining and we left somewhere else. The app would not let me cancel. Total waste of time and gas

   I made a reservation at 8pm, after I checked in the restaurant and they told me we must wait 25’. After 25’, they told me, “ waiting time is 30’ and you have all people before you”( at least 6 peolple). I went away after that. Crazy and shameful

   We had 7:15 reservation and we weren’t sat until after 8pm. Very disorganized and crowded. The place also needs a deep cleaning or remodeled/TLC.

    Very disappointed. We have been customers of Japan Inn Weston for years. Reservations for a party of 2 for 7:00 PM and we left at 8:20 PM without being seated. The staff at the check in desk continuously said “they’re cleaning your table now” but we waited over an hour and never got seated. They do not consider limits when taking reservations and grossly overbook to make as much money as possible. Then the overbooked guests are crowded in limited space while waiting eternally to be seated, getting angry at the lack of consideration. Ruined our Valentines Day (starved and so late we could not book anywhere else on the holiday). All other guests were complaining and getting heated. We will not be going back and will instead make our reservations at Benihana.
