    They just use too much salt. The chicken and what accompanied it would have been marvelous except for the amount of salt/

    Our check in experience was disappointing. Hostess said our table wasn’t ready and not sure when it would be ready and we were told to go to the bar and get a drink. We took a walk around restaurant (those of us that didn’t want a drink) , found a table, informed the hostess and were seated - she seemed very unaware .

    This was our first experience at JB's on the water. We love the Jamestown area and have been trying new restaurants. Overall, we were not impressed with the restaurant. We had booked a regular table, but we were placed at a high top in the bar. We asked to change tables since that was not what we reserved, but we were told no. The bar area was very crowded and loud, which made it difficult to converse. The service was rather slow from the kitchen. Our server was very nice. The salad came without dressing. The entree was not hot. We just were very disappointed and we will not return.

    Beautiful views, excellent service, nautical interior, delicious varied gourmet menu for weekend brunch, accommodations for intimate tables and large family groups inside and outside. Plenty of parking off street and on street too. Fair prices.

    We had reserved an inside non high top table but a wedding prevented that. That turned out to be great for us, as the inside was very noisy. We were given a quiet outdoor table with heaters. Only negative was they had run out of coconut for their Potters Cove drink (my first choice) and they also ran out of their pumpkin beer (second choice). Luckily the maple cinnamon white russian drink was excellent. Thier tomato bisque was terrific and the blackened cod was well done. Their Fall Chicken (large half chicken with roasted carrots and delicious risotto) also very good.
