   Was our Xmas Eve family meal, we have been a few times and has always been spot on, I booked an early table in case they got busy(530pm) my food was ordered soon after all 3 plates looked amazing, I had the beef stew and dumping my daughter beef stir fry and my wife sausages and mash, both mine and my daughters tasted lovely but was luke warm, I told the young lady who served us, and she just apologised , all 3 meals was not fully eaten! I then ordered 2 deserts ice cream for wife and Jam Roly poly and custard, mine once again was luke warm, very disappointed! Paid and left and once again said food wasn’t hot, just an apology offered!

   Our second time coming to jd youngs, Its really good food and reasonable value.The Sunday lunch is very tasty and the desserts are good.

   First visit to this place and plan to return. Excellent ambience friendly welcome and service. The food was excellent. The 3 of us diners had different meals and we all enjoyed the food and presentation of it Well done

   Overall was great until I saw the bill and I’d been charged £7.50 for one slice of bread cut into three !! Now to be fair bread was not on the menu and we did request some bread with our starter . To put this into perspective the soup and bread was £8.50 as a starter . Does this mean the soup is only worth £1 ?? We are happy to pay for good decent food and great service but to be charged £7.50 for one slice of bread cut into three pieces is a bit much !! Everything else was great thank you .

    We had another lovely meal here last night. My husband tried the pizza for the first time and was very impressed! I enjoyed the chicken, bacon & mushroom dish which was delicious. Great attentive service as always. Love the decor but it looks extra special now with the Christmas lights & tree.
