We offer a 4 course menu designed by Chef /owner Susan Dunlop, which includes distinctive American cuisine . We offer only the finest ingredients, sourced locally when possible. Maître d'/owner Joan Schmitt (and Highland Park native) offers first-class hospitality. Our carefully selected wine, beer and signature cocktail list will also appeal to all tastes. joan's is a must try, if you enjoy great food and amazing hospitality in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

                                            Our second visit to Joan’s did not disappoint. We brought friends to celebrate a milestone birthday. They greeted us warmly, brought complementary Champagne, and thus launched a lovely evening of fine dining. Every course was extraordinary. Perfect portions, delicious combinations, highly creative. If you’re a foodie, you have to try this place.

                                            Absolutely incredible!! My friends and I came here on Valentine's Day and had the best time. The dishes are so beautifully crafted and we couldn't stop tasting everything everyone ordered.

                                            No doubt, one of the best restaurants in the Twin Cities! The owner, Joan, greeted us at the door with a warm welcome. The food was superb, and the service was outstanding. I can’t imagine a better place for a special occasion dinner.

                                            Such a wonderful experience. Food was incredible such different tastes that excited me on all levels. Staff was incredible and so nice. Ambiance was spot on. A bit on the louder side than i prefer because of the size of the place but tolerable. I'm definitely going again.

                                            Always a wonderful experience at Joan's. The food is amazing and we love the fact that it is a family venture. Joan and Susan always remember us - even though we only go there 3-4 times a year. Also love the fact that their 4 course tasting menu does not include a desert course, which we always consider a throwaway. We are patrons for life!
