   Excellent rib eye and filet along with sides. Very nice and competent staff. Highly recommend.

   This is one of our favorite local restaurants but our experience here on this visit was subpar. We ordered drinks and one of the three drinks was incorrect and the waiter said to just order another one after drinking the first one. He didn't offer to replace it with the correct one. We came for my birthday and usually order Alaska King Crab Legs at a cost of $89. We add an extra plate for $14 and are usually very satisfied. We were supposed to get 22 ounces of crab legs. We received 6 of the skinniest crab legs with no knuckles at all so half were just the tips with no meat in them. If the total weight was 16 ounces I would be surprised. The crab was overcooked and was sticking to the shells. There was not one full bite of crab in any of the 6 legs. It was only the little that we could scrape from the inside of the shell and it was dried out. Then came the complimentary dessert. Our waiter said that there were only 2 ice cream choices (usually there are 4 or 5 with vanilla with chocolate sauce) They had spumoni and eggnog ice cream neither of which appealed to me. So he stuck a candle in my husband's eggnog ice cream and sat it in front of me and walked away. It was not wonderful service and the food was worse. I will give them another chance but the food had better improve.

   I .ade a reservation over a month ago for 7pm. They kept us waiting for 45mins while others that had bo reservation, were seated in a ti.ely manner. Then each person in .y party of 6, ordered a 16oz rider. He brought them out and they were all good looking steaks except one. The last he brought out was very thin and did bot resemble the others. When asked if we could get a replacement steak, the waiter said that's what you get and walked away. Our steaks were under cooked and the waiter didn't provide any alternatives to the thin cut steak which we ended up.sending back. Bor did he come to refill our drinks or check on us to see if everything was good. That was a horrible experience and very disappointing especially because we drove from Paso Robles to Nippmo for to celebrate my boyfriends birthday.

   Simply outstanding dining experience. The food was delicious and fresh, generous quantity and value, friendly service. It was no-frills, but man oh man, yummy steaks! Will definitely come back again and worth the drive!

   We have been dining at Jocko’s for over 40 years. Food and service has always been spot on until tonight. Our waitress never came back to check on us, we had to request water refills, and had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for each request. At one point, someone in our party saw our waitress hanging out with the hostess for almost 20 minutes.

   The service at Jocko’s Steakhouse was fast, friendly, and attentive. You can tell immediately that the service staff take pride in making the dining experience wonderful for their customers. Now to the food, the 20oz Spencer (aka Ribeye) was tender, well seasoned, and delicious. I now understand why people wave about the steaks at Jocko’s, because the grill master knows what they are doing! Our party also had the lamb chops and the filet mignon. The chilled pickles brought back memories of the big pickles that I would get from the corner store after school. The complimentary ice cream (we had egg nog and coconut pineapple)was superb. The restaurant is loud and the dress is casual (jeans are acceptable), which created a relaxed vibe. Reservations are highly recommended. I was able to secure our 7:45 pm Christmas Eve reservation just a few days before. They do take walk-ins, but I wouldn’t recommend that unless you plan to wait it out at the bar. Jocko’s lived up to the hype!
