Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore.     Food was okay, exactly what you would expect from a place like this. Nothing was inedible, some things like the steamed shrimp just weren’t prepared the best way, the shrimp weren’t really cleaned so most had the mud vein still intact which is just not appetizing. Server/bartender was great and so were the drinks.

    Service was extremely slow. Parts of our meals didn’t come with everything it was supposed to. Took almost 30 minutes before we got our drinks. And we’re able to order.

    My reservations for Friday night were unnecessary. It was not a busy evening, there were several empty tables, but service was still slow. The food was ok. The calamari appetizer was ok. I didn't like the marinara. It would have been better with cocktail sauce. My coconut shrimp was way too dark and had an artificial coconut flavor. The shrimp was somehow not terribly overcooked. The hush puppies were undercooked in the center. I would assume the fryer oil was way too hot. The fish and shrimp were ok. The french fries were underwhelming.

    My wife ordered the Atlantic Steampot steamed with butter on the side. Although delicious, the seafood selection was underwhelming for the price of the meal. I ordered a pasta alfredo which was filling and tasty.

    Got to the restaurant and there was a crowd of young employees hanging out at the front reception desk. Took a minute before we were acknowledged. We had a reservation for our anniversary and we were asked about that when we made the reservation, but that was never acknowledged throughout our visit. Good was good, service was OK, although it sure seemed like the waitress was trying to up-sell us on menu items. Was hustled outside to pat for flowers by someone setting up in front of the restaurant that we thought worked for the store, but didn't (even though they were dressed like an employee). It was overall fairly expensive for just an OK experience.
