We had to wait 50-60 minutes despite making a reservation. Service was not present for about 10-15 minutes causing delays in check-in. Customers with reservations were asked to wait outside in the cold and were rudely spoken to by management

I was really looking forward to the Christmas experience at JoJo’s Shake Bar with my kids, but it fell far below expectations. What was advertised as a festive event turned out to be nothing more than a quick photo with Santa and seating at the bar booth- surrounded by drunk adults in Santa hats. We weren’t even seated in the main room for the “Christmas experience.” For the nearly $30 per person I paid in advance (gratuity included), I expected something far more organized and family-friendly. Honestly, I could’ve spent a little more and taken my kids to a steakhouse for a much better experience. To top it off, I tipped the new waiter additional gratuity at the end, even though it was already included. I felt bad for him especially since the table in front of us was being extremely rude to him so I tipped him additional. While the food was good, it didn’t justify the hour-long drive to Chicago or the disorganized atmosphere. If I wanted bar food, I could’ve driven five minutes to a local spot instead. Overall, I left feeling extremely disappointed, and I wouldn’t recommend this event to anyone looking for a genuine Christmas experience with their family.

The Winter Wonderland theme was cute. My 6 and 8 year old enjoyed it including the photo opportunities with the truck, fairy, tree, and pink seat. The Christmas music was lovely. The milkshakes were great and the food was good. However, I took a star off for cleanliness. The bathrooms inside the restaurant were not very clean. The inside and outdoor areas could’ve been a little cleaner. There were sparrows inside the tent and one dropped onto our table. But overall we enjoyed it.

Despite reservations there was a long wait and we ultimately did not get seated in the area we requested. Service was slow and inattentive but food came out rather fast.

Horrible. Waitress decided to not tell me they were out of ingredients for the shake I ordered until coming by 3 times after the order was placed. Kids are running around bumping into you constantly. Terrible

If you plan to go for Christmas, make sure you have reservations for the Winter Wonderland Pop-Up. If you don’t, you will sit inside. Also, aside from the shakes, the food is not great. Our server was neglectful and that managed to screw up our order twice, forget to bring a straw for one of the shakes, forgot ketchup, and only gave us two forks for a table of four. Won’t be returning.
