J’s SteakFrites is a tribute to the tradition of Parisian Entrecôte steakhouses. Located in the heart of West Queen West neighborhood, one of the best Toronto downtown areas, the vibrant bistro brings steak frites menu to a new level : house made bread with butter, a fresh green salad and the perfectly marbled AAA Canadian Beef NY Striploin with crispy frites, and J’s secret sauce. All for $60 per person. Top quality ingredients, cheery music and great friendly service is our recipe of success.

The location was clean and welcoming. The service was attentive and prompt. The food was just okay. We expect a bit more given that it was their pre-fix menu and they only served one dish. It was just okay. Not likely to return as there were other options in town for steak. The fries were not crispy.

Really lovely evening. Great service. Will definitely go back. It isn’t cheap but worth every penny (I’m from England) 🙂

Wet and wilted salad. Watery dressing. Buttery flavourless sauce. Gristly steak. Should have stayed home and cooked a steak myself.

It was a great time, a little surprised by the bill at the end but that was maybe math done wrong in my head. We will definitely be back and likely skip the beginning cocktail and stick with sharing a bottle of wine :)

Amazing service and really appreciate that our late guest was accommodated although it was a bit of an inconvenience - your staff was amazing and the steak was excellent. So was the chocolate cake! Thank you again!
