   We had a fantastic lunch. Great service and nice views. Possibly the best fish tacos I’ve ever had!

   The price point seems a bit high for mock tails versus alcoholic drinks. I ordered a pistachio cake and it was dry and very tough to eat.

   The drinks and ambiance were the highlight of my experience. The bartenders were great and Hosts were super welcoming and friendly. Food wasn’t that great, I barely ate my entree, the seafood risotto. The seafood wasn’t fresh, you could tell right away from the smell and texture. I didn’t have high expectations but was surprised how underwhelming the food was. The cost for the NYE experience didn’t match the service provided by our waiter, he started of strong but was clearly overwhelmed as the night went on. The restaurant also charged double for their parking validation than what the cost would have been if we didn’t prepay for parking, it wasn’t much but after the experience had that left an even more negative impression on things.

   Our group had delightful NYE experience at Jula’s. The food was outstanding with new chefs who showing his experience and creativity! The event was sold out and it was a party with live music, party favors and the opportunity to see the Alexandria fireworks at a different level. The service team worked hard to deliver 3 courses plus fresh baked smoky rolls, and beverages to the full dining room. Cocktails took a long time to arrive before dinner and our wine arrived late after entrees were mostly consumed. Overall a great way to bring in 2025!

   Jula and her team pulled off another great New Year's Eve experience. The 3-course meal was fabulous - the duck and risotto entrees were perfectly prepared. The team always goes out their ay to accommodate guest requests, even on their busiest times. Jula's still remains the best place to enjoy dinner, drinks while watching Alexandria's fireworks displays.

   This was a review for the NYE's dinner - 2nd seating. Ambiance was fantastic, cocktails top-notch, food was very good and server (Kai) was stellar!

   The server had an attitude. My wife asked him to wait a minute so she could ask me a question about the drinks I was planning to order. He immediately ran to the manager to get us another server. The manager came over and we told her we didn’t understand why he thought there was problem. He said he didn’t like my wife’s tone. The restaurant was loud so my wife was speaking louder so she could be heard. We previously asked to have our table moved due to a column directly a few inches behind one of our chairs. The column prevented the chair from moving back away from the table. Later another server came to the table next to us with bread the couple said they didn’t order the bread. Then the server brought the bread to our table. I told her we didn’t order the bread. Then our server showed up and said the bread was complimentary and if we didn’t want it he could give it to someone else. The server nor the manager never communicated with us that they were bringing out complimentary bread. Later when the food was being served another server brought out food and was confused about which table to deliver to. Entrees for one table were placed in front of the customer then picked up and move to the correct table. Setting aside the issues with the server’s attitude and miscommunication, the food was just mediocre. It may be that my expectations were a little high. I expected something similar to Trummers on Main or Girasole. Lesson learned, not a fan.

    My husband and I had a great time for NYE 2024. The Pre-fixe menu wasn’t great, long time between each food course. But you need to space it out because you have a four hour window. Fireworks were great. The jazz band was great. Overall we had a great time and would return next year.
