   It was just the two of us in the restaurant when we arrived, which was surprising for a Friday night. The service was excellent. The food was just ok, and in our opinion, overpriced. We shared the Caesar salad. Some of the lettuce pieces looked like they were on the way out. Good flavor in the dressing, and one salad between two people was plenty. $14 I had the halibut, which was on the slightly dryer/overcooked side. A minute or two less cooked and it would have been perfect. Fortunately, there was a sauce. The dish had 3 pieces of asparagus and two fingerling potatoes split in half. $46. This seemed a little pricier than necessary but not terrible. My husband ordered the NY Strip steak $90. It came with garlic cloves, nothing else. The cut was ok, but it was well under seasoned. He did order straight horseradish to go with it. It was 16-oz, so generously sized, but we’ve had better steaks at other restaurants for half the price. He also ordered scallops to go with his steak, but never got them. We ordered the scalloped potatoes as a side and they were delicious! The restaurant ambience felt less like a high-end steakhouse and more like a fancy cafeteria. Open tables in the center, booths on the exterior. Not unpleasant, just not what we expected. Great bar area, cozy. The overall kitchen/dining experience was fine, but not fabulous. We’ve had better meals for half the price at other venues. The service was excellent, no complaints about any of the staff who were friendly and accommodating.

   The food was not warm ( soup and Mac -n - cheese. Requested medium steak but it came rare. No cheese or seasoning on Mac -n- cheese

   I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at JWB was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. I had made a reservation well in advance for a special occasion, only to arrive and be told that they had no record of it. Instead of apologizing or trying to accommodate us, the manager rudely implied that it was somehow our fault. There was no effort to check their system thoroughly or offer any solutions—it was just outright blame and dismissiveness. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. Even when we finally got seated, the attitude of the manager cast a shadow over the entire experience. Mistakes happen, but the way they handled this situation was completely unacceptable. A simple acknowledgment of their error and an attempt to make things right would have gone a long way, but instead, we were met with defensiveness and zero accountability. For a restaurant that seems to pride itself on its reputation, they seriously need to re-evaluate how they treat their customers. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

   My overall experience was not good between the service the food. And the horrible table that was not stable whatsoever kept rocking and moving and twisting. Personally, wouldn’t waste my time, but you should find out yourself

   We visited on Dec 28. I was surprised to see we could get a party of 7 at the last minute for an early dinner. Maybe that was a sign? As soon as we were settled, our server explained they were out of several menu items, Ribeyes being one of them, but they picked some up from Costco, and those would be ready "soon," but not soon enough for us. After being told the lamb chops would take too long for us, we had 1:45 max for dinner as we had tickets for a game; I switched to a prime NY Strip for $84. There is no way this was a prime steak. There was no marbling at all. The steak was flavorful and prepared perfectly, so kudos to the kitchen for doing what they could with what they had. My daughter ordered the King Salmon, which was mushy. Properly prepared salmon should flake nicely. This one did not. The salmon was tasty, but I suspect it was a few days old, so the potential is there. On a positive note, the Chicken au Jus, my wife's choice, was perfectly prepared and tasty. Our shared sides, Potatoes au Gratin, Truffle Mac, and asparagus, were all great tasting but pricey. $20 for the Truffle Mac, which served three light eaters, was not a good value. We carried over cocktails from the bar, so we had only a glass of wine. It was a decent CAB at $18, but not memorable. Maybe the holiday week produced more crowds than expected. I'm not saying I won't give them another shot; primary proteins will have to be much better than this visit, however, for me to add this to our special occasion list. Side note: no kid-sized options.

    They took forever serving our food. Then two of the Filets were burnt so they said they were cooking new ones but in the meantime all the other food sat there and got cold. We had to tell them to give us the rest of the food and when they did they had to take it back and re-heat it. We were there for a Birthday and of course they announced it, so we have a Birthday let me get a piece of cake for you instead of coming to the table with the cake and candle he just announced it. The service was terrible the food was not worth the price. They did take off two of the steaks but it was to late, they ruined the evening.
