One of the worst dining experiences I have had ever and for sure in Park City. We felt rushed the whole time and the quality of the food was terrible for the prices charged. I felt like I had fallen for a tourist bait and switch. This is the first time I have ever written a review and am only doing so to warn people to avoid Kaneo at all costs .

A few weeks ago, we made an advance reservation to celebrate the final evening of our ski vacation and were eagerly anticipating a memorable dinner. Upon arrival, we were seated at a table near the entrance by the stairwell. Unfortunately, with patrons frequently coming and going, we were continually exposed to cold drafts, making it quite uncomfortable. We politely requested a different table, as we preferred not to dine with our coats on. The hostess, however, informed us that no other tables were available. Given this response, we decided to cancel our order and prepared to leave. At that moment, the manager approached and suddenly offered us an alternative table. By then, our enthusiasm had waned, and we chose to depart, feeling that the establishment’s reputation had been compromised. It’s perplexing that a restaurant of this caliber, with entrées priced at $50 and above, would assign guests to such an unsuitable table. I recommend that management experience dining at that particular spot to understand the discomfort caused by the cold drafts and foot traffic. While a one-star rating might not reflect the chef’s culinary efforts—I trust the food is delightful—the hosting and management team should address this issue promptly. Many establishments implement solutions like temporary entrance tents or strategic seating arrangements to enhance guest comfort. This version aims to provide a clear and constructive account of your experience, highlighting specific concerns and offering actionable suggestions for improvement.

Burrata, hummus, kale salad, croquettes were all very good. The restaurant was beautiful and our water glasses were always full. The entrees were disappointing. The NY strip was okay but not great. Two of us ordered the chef’s special, duck over risotto, and it was not good. The risotto was crunchy, the duck was difficult to cut with a butter knife and almost impossible to chew. Our waiter stopped by before we tasted the food and did not check on us again until after the plates were cleared and never asked if the meal was okay. So we just paid a lot of money for food that should have been delicious but wasn’t.

    1. Table was not ready at time of reservation. 2. No waiting space, tables crammed in by the front door. 3. Seated at one of the crammed in tables by the front door resulting in a blast of cold air every 30 seconds as people walked in and out. We had to wear our coats while eating dinner. The food was cold almost immediately on arrival. 4. Service was very slow. The waitress was nice but appeared to be waiting on 3 tables or more. Ordered drinks and it took over 20 minutes for them to arrive. The food arrived very slowly. 5. The food was not bad but the overall experience was very poor and for the price of this restaurant, I would expect better.

Atmosphere was top shelf. Server was inattentive and never asked if we needed anything. Ordered a $26 Manhattan that came a 1/2” short of filling a standard martini glass, wondered where the rest of it was. It was garnished with a candied cherry instead of a Luxardo cherry, wasn’t expecting that based upon the atmosphere and price of the drink. My appetizer was clearly plated well in advance of the order and served luke warm. Ordered the duck special which consisted of 4 small pieces that were 50% fat and it was overcooked. I left feeling disappointed, I honestly expected a much better dining experience.

Service and value is not there. They are worried about pumping people in and out of there and turning tables. We had a 5:15 reservation, they called and asked us to come early for 5pm. We arrive at 4:55pm, doors and locked and guests are waiting outside in the cold despite the hours being posted on the door as open. They finally opened the doors at 5:05pm no explanation or apology. The Meze “platter” came with very little pita. We essentially had a whole plate of dip left and no pitas. Eventually we got more, I then saw on the bill they charged us 4.00 for the additional ones they brought. There is no way a few tablespoons of dips and I’m guessing 1.5 pitas was worth 27.00 dollars. The branzino was actually great. It’s not cheap at 55.00. We got a few sides and shared the fish. They also added a 5.00 extra charge to share the fish. Again a surprise on the bill, so bizarre and unnecessary at that price point. Service was not great especially considering the cost of the meal. At least 10 mins waiting for drinks. We would never go back.

Appetizers excellent . Hummus, whipped goat cheese plate delicious . I ordered lamb chops . The sweet potato puree was cold, as were the string beans. The lamb chops were luke warm, almost cold. They were tasty though. The fingerling potato sides were also cold and usually they would be a bit crispy (roasted) these were just simple potatoes.
