Don’t bother coming here for brunch. The place looks lovely but style over substance. As soon as we were seated we were asked what we would like for our main course. Before any water or drinks had been offered or before the selection of starters had been provided - weird! As we had the bottomless brunch the waiter just poured the wine didn’t even show me the bottle. The starters were mediocre at best and room temperature. No condiments were provided and the starters were dry. We had to ask for condiments. The main course was ok. However, the nan was cold and we had to ask for another nan to be hot. End of meal asked for coffee as wife is lactose intolerant requested any other type of milk substitute. The manager stated that they never had any milk alternatives and mainly sold teas. Again the teas were not offered or recommended. I think if you’re spending this sort of money and with a name like Atul Kochhar above the door you expect better food and service!

Normally never leave reviews but my family was very much looking forward to this meal. Being Indian, I was appalled at how bad the food was. The butter chicken was like a bad tomato soup. Very disappointed and not very tasty. On top of that, the prices for the amount of food was not great value. Service and location were great, just could not overcome the food.

Kinishka is our favourite restaurant in London and we make a point of dining here on every visit. We dined on Tuesday 17th December and opted, as usual, for the Tasting Menu. The anniversary menu, it has to be said, is nothing short of outstanding. And with a friendly and attentive team of staff, wonderful cocktails and a great ambiance, a very memorable evening was had. Thank you once again to the amazing Kanishka team, we will be back next year!

I was looking forward to a nice experience given the reviews I read. We were sat in a corner hidden by the bar which I am always nervous about. Then we were handed one of each menu (drink and food), which meant we were just passing the menus back and forth. After about 15 minutes they finally came and took our order so we put everything in since it was clear service was going to be slow. Drinks sat at the bar for 10 minutes getting watered down (I saw them in the service well). The starter came about 20 minutes after ordering. They were lovely. Then it went downhill. We arrived at 19:30. At 20:45 I asked where our food was as the 3 groups dining near us, who were sat after us, had already received their food. I was told it was on the way. At 21:00 the food finally came. In that time, we were never offered additional drinks / water refills, etc. no one came to inform us the food was delayed for whatever reason. I finally went to the bar and asked for a cocktail and the kindly comp’d the drink. When I got the bill that included a discretionary 10% service charge I was shocked. For £200+, we left the restaurant at 21:45, nearly 2.25 hours after arriving for what should have been a very quick meal given the speed at which every single other table was sat and departed. Sure the food was solid (nothing to compliment), the service was absolutely atrocious. Better off waiting in the line at Dishoom or trying any other local Indian restaurant. Do not recommend in the slightest.

The tasting menu is outstanding and value for money. Each course is outstanding and celebrates 30 years of a genius chef. The service matches the high standard and Clive is a shining example of this . Must visit and we will be back.
