Kellari Taverna is located in the heart of New York City, three blocks from Grand Central Station, Times Square and the Theater District. The dining room décor evokes a subterranean wine cellar designed with contemporary elegance. Kellari features the traditional Greek taverna specialties, such as our signature grilled whole fish, prime lamb chops and chicken meats, and an eclectic selection of contemporary Hellenic savory appetizers ("mezedes") created by our Executive Chef. The Kellari dessert menu includes innovative specialties such as warm sokolata with goat milk vanilla ice cream as as well as traditional favorites such as Baklava and bougatsa. Kellari Taverna offers an extensive international wine list featuring a large selection of Greek wines.

    The food was exceptional. The Kellari chips and grilled calamari were very special. The grilled tiger prawns need a bit more garlic but tasty

    We chose Kellari for a business dinner for a small nonprofit. We had many requests and needed accommodations. The restaurant, food, and ambiance were incredible, but the staff really made the experience over the top for me. I was so impressed with how kind and patient they were with our group. Thank you!!!

    It was great to return after a long hiatus. The renovation made the ambience a much better ne, the service was really outstanding and the food, as always, great. I recommend it as a great experience to anyone visiting New York. Additionally if you have a show to go to, it is close enough of all major theaters as to let you enjoy a delicious dinner and and make you ready to watch in a better mood the show.

    An elegant restaurant. Tables were spaced out intelligently so that there was a sense of privacy. There was low, atmospheric music that didn’t impede on conversation. The food was excellent and the service A+ Our waiter was professional, attentive and friendly. It was our 15th wedding anniversary and the maitre d surprised us with a bottle to celebrate. A real touch of class. We will be back. If you’re having dinner before theatre or just out for the evening, this restaurant is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.
