   We chose Kindred specifically for the Holiday Menu because the two choices looked appealing. It was overpriced compared to their other special occasion menus and the regular menu, specifically the dessert was $20, instead of their usual $12-$13. For this Christmas dinner there was no bread offered, no welcome Prosecco, no cookie, bon bon, or mint with the bill. They neglected to offer us the Apertivo menu /cocktail pricing. The food was delicious and well prepared. The service was professional, attentive (because the restaurant was almost empty) and friendly. They missed an opportunity to knock it out of the park, or even make it feel like a special Christmas meal in ANY way. I expected better from a restaurant in a 4 star hotel. The experience was just okay, but there are so many other choices with excellent food in Edmonton that will either have that special touch or be more realistically priced for what you're getting. I don't know if I would go back. Definitely not for an overpriced holiday menu.

   I wasn’t sure about this hotel restaurant due to some reviews that focused on service. Were were there 1.5 hours before an Oiler game and the service was great. Food was delicious and was happy with the portion size. Short rib risotto was very good, the portion size was slightly small. Kale salad and two pizzas were also really good. The food coming out around us looked very good with big portion sizes on the pasta and sandwiches. Very good overall.

   Loved the bread and dip, always a wonderful meal . Absolutely love the plates and glasses . Fine china so nice.

   Sub par kale salad, same with cocktail we ordered. Server was okay until we were done then disappeared for a bit and we eventually had to ask for our bill. Average restaurant ina beautiful location.

   Food was good, restaurant was beautiful, but service was awful. No consistent server, we weren't checked up on and had to waive people down, needed to ask three different servers for refills on our waters, needed to flag two different people down for our bill and even then one of the staff didnt come over with it until we stood up and started putting our coats on. It was ridiculous.

   We had an enjoyable dinner - the food was delicious! Background was a bit noisy at times but tolerable. Will definitely visit again.

   We were sat right away and had our choice of tables as the restaurant wasn’t very busy. The server was attentive and took our drink and food order after giving us a few minutes to decide. I have been here before and had the panzenalla salad and beef risotto and was looking forward to them again tonight, however the salad had no cucumbers and the tomatoes were overly ripe, and the risotto had an overwhelming number of pearl onions in it which is not listed as an ingredient on the menu and the last time I had this dish it was very different. The server also asked my husband if he wanted ketchup with his pizza which we found puzzling and when I watched him make my drink he had to ask one of the managers(?) what went into my drink and I heard her say ‘don’t worry about it, that syrup is the same color so it doesn’t matter’. That was off putting as I would hope that a $17 drink would have the exact ingredients in it that are listed. My previous experiences here were wonderful and last night fell quite short of what I had previously experienced.

    The atmosphere was nice, but the two top tables were too small to fit food and coffee for two. We had the mushroom pizza and french onion soup. The pizza was fine but the soup was terrible. It had very little flavour and the texture was awful. It was like they put bag cheese over a cup of breadcrumbs. The conventient location is the only reason to dine here.
