    So hard to find good Mexican food in our area. This is truly homemade and just outstanding. Cool decor, large menu; everyone at our table of 6 adults and a baby were delighted with their order! The baby even was happy...devoured the charro beans. This is not in our neighborhood, but we will definitely make the effort to return.

    I chose Kolucan for dinner with a group of friends. Six of us had not been here before and I have never much liked Tex Mex food and had looked for higher end, a more sophisticated version of Mexican cuisine. This looked like it would be it. And I was not disappointed. Everyone in the group was exceptionally happy and impressed with every aspect. The trio appetizer was perfect for 6. Wine was at half price today on Wednesday which pleased the wine drinkers. Two guests had fajitas (one steak and one chicken) and both were very pleased. Two of us had the short ribs with mole and enjoyed it - the beef was very tender and not dry and the sauce very balanced and not oppressive like it can be. The shrimp were great and the enchiladas were eaten with delight. Dessert was shared churros - hot and delicious with great chocolate dip. Overall an exceptional experience that finally convinced me Mexican food can be high quality cuisine that reminded me of the recipes and descriptions in the book, Like Water for Chocolate.

    The food is delicious, my order was not served with the rest of our party and it took quite a while to get it. Manager did apologize and took the charge for an app off the bill. I would return.

    First time there, very good food! We were a table of five. Everyone was happy with their meals. Would definitely go back.

    Kolucan is a welcome addition to Sarasota dining. This was a repeat visit to celebrate New Year. We were not disappointed! Food was wonderful our waiter Julio was very attentive as usual Our drinks were great dessert, Montezuma chocolate cake was divine.
