   LOVE La Botte D'Oro - great food, lovely staff. The aromas hit you when you walk in the door. We were a group of 5 and everyone loved their meals. So fresh and full of flavour. I keep going back for the incredible mussels, and their pizzas are the best! Definitely a favourite in Leichhardt.

   We love this place! The atmoshphere and the staff service is so friendly and welcoming. But the food...the ever changing menu is really authentic Southern Italian fare - a real treat for the locals!! Thanks as always.

   Gabriele is an excellent host and restaurant manager. He’s taken a lacklustre restaurant and transformed it into a neighbourhood gem. Long past its hey day in the ‘80’s when botte D’Ora was a serious contender amongst the legacy Italian restaurants dotted around Leichhardt, it fell into a series of dubious revivals. One got a sense that it had been used as a vehicle to turn a modest buck whilst serving predictable Aussie Italian food. There are some great flavours here, the WA Octopus is beautifully finished with a flavoursome sauce, meatballs are tender, pasta dishes don’t disappoint and the pizza is brilliant - off the menu but ask for a porcini with prosciutto and fresh mozzarella or burrata - the perfectly puffy charred crust elevates the whole experience. They offer BYO and a number of weekly special deals which aren’t really my thing but help to keep the restaurant buzzy and the cost conscious diners happy. Give them a try, they’re accommodating and will go the extra mile to please.

   The Barramundi was the best I have ever had anywhere. The Brusheta was awful. Plain small bread rolls with cut up tomato and nothing else as described on the menu. 'Can't comment on desert as we didn't have any. Would definitely go again.
