   Food was a let down. Expected much better from an Italian restaurant in sf where this is a lot of competition already

   Was hoping it would be amazing, but it just wasn’t. Had a great table, and while the service was good, it was a bit overbearing. Too much chit chat and excessively long food descriptions. Cocktails were all good! Pizza was ok, but lacked seasoning. The chicken liver had great flavor but was served on overly oily toasted bread. The risotto special wasn’t so special, especially at $48! Clumps of rice and again, lack of seasoning. Fish was the best dish of the evening.

   It was my birthday. Me and my five girlfriends had a table they wanted to seat us at running a bit late. I think the manager was letting us know that we would be seated soon. It was about 30 minutes over our reservation time when we were seated. Luckily we found seats that opened up at the bar because they have a no standing at the bar policy while you wait for your table. Hostess was sweet Server was great Food was excellent, especially the lemon pasta and my birthday dessert! I cannot wait to come back again!

   Well our first time but definitely not our last the server Gustavo was extremely professional and outstanding and the food was amazing.

   Very beautiful restaurant and atmosphere! Also, very friendly and attentive staff with quick food turnaround. Only setback was that the dishes lacked flavor (we had the Arancini, Squash fritto and Yukon gold pizza). Would come back for drinks!

   We visited La Connessa to celebrate a birthday and was blown away by the service from the door to the table. the hostess greeted us with a smile and allowed us to sit at the bar while we waited for our table. the drinks we ordered were perfect! the staff did their best to help us celebrate with small gestures and phenomenal customer service. our server obviously takes pride in their job as the professionalism was beyond outstanding. would absolutely return as well as recommend to others looking for an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you again to all of the staff at La Connessa for making my lady’s birthday dinner extra special.

   I ordered an old fashion and it was really good! My partner and I celebrated Valentines Day there and we both thought the food was subpar. I wish I would’ve had a better experience especially because the restaurant was expensive. If the food is delicious I don’t consider the price tag. I think La Connessa should have done a better job with their pre fixed menu.

   My partner and I went during their Valentine’s day experience. It was a prix fixe menu which we were fine with, but was not worth the value of what we paid. Although there were three appetizers, entrees and two desserts to pick from our appetizers and entrees that were sent out to us were incorrect the first time. Of course it was busy for Valentine’s day but they were fully staffed, but seemed disorganized. We would probably be back for a regular dinner night but not for Valentine’s day…

    The food for Valentine’s dinner was mediocre to say the least, disappointing and dissatisfying. The tuna salad (was it canned tuna? Ridiculous!) for starter was too simple to be served in a place like this, more suitable for a diner. The pasta with crab was overdone, not al dente. Not to mention that the crab was hardly even noticeable. The chocolate mousse dessert was ok, the only dish I enjoyed. And the Avenue cocktail. There were too many staff members standing around the hall, pouring water too often while we were trying to have dinner and a conversation. It felt uncomfortable and a bit intrusive. Still, they managed to mix up our order, even though we chose 2 out of the 3 available options. At the end, it turned out our bill was incorrect and we were charged extra. The 3 corse menu should have cost $95 (appetiser, main dish, dessert). We were charged $95 and $15 for the dessert! Definitely will not come back and will not recommend this place, a complete disappointment and the worst Italian food I’ve tried in S.F. so far. Not good value for money. The food was not worth the price. The interior is nice, though.
